'Hundreds of thousands' of nonviolent Trump supporters find voice in two Jan. 6 committee witnesses

:snip:“We have chosen to cooperate despite serious reservations about whether the Committee’s intention is on following the facts wherever they lead,” Stockton said in a text to the Nevada Independent . “It’s important to us that the hundreds of thousands of people who did not participate in any violence have their voice heard in the official proceedings.”:snip:

Imagine You Protested for BLM & Were Abused for a Year

Marjorie Taylor Greene

@mtgreenee

1. Imagine you protested for #BLM and when the protests turned violent you were arrested and held for nearly a year, abused harshly pre-trial in jail, under the hateful oversight of a Deputy Warden that is a white rabid Trump supporter.

The media stories would be NON-STOP.

Pentagon spokesman says Meadows Jan. 6 email undermines apolitical ethos of the military

Jamie McIntyre, Senior Writer

December 14, 2021

ONE LINE IN AN EMAIL: The Biden Pentagon said Monday that an email from former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows — revealed in a report from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol — was reinforcing the false notion that the U.S. military has become a tool to advance partisan politics.

“Meadows sent an email to an individual about the events on January 6 and said that the National Guard would be present to ‘protect pro Trump people’ and that many more would be available on standby,” the report said as part of a long list of communications Meadows himself turned over to the committee before he stopped cooperating.

Adam Schiff Gets Caught Doctoring January 6th Text Messages, Exposes His Imbecility in the Process

Adam Schiff (D-CA) has a long history of spinning wild narratives and bending the evidence to meet his conspiracy theories. That was most noticeable during Donald Trump’s first impeachment, in which Schiff lied during a hearing about the contents of the now-famous phone call between Trump and Ukraine’s president. The California Democrat was also caught pushing fake, Donald Trump Jr. emails during the Russian collusion farce.

But despite a total lack of credibility given his repeated actions, Schiff has never suffered any consequences. And what does a bad person do when they continually get away with doing bad things? They continue to do bad things. Thus, you get Schiff, during a January 6th Committee hearing yesterday, doctoring a text between Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan to push a false narrative.

Schiff didn’t doctor the text message, you guys. He only fabricated a screenshot that didn’t exist, deleted half a sentence, added punctuation where there was none, deleted two paragraphs, and had no clue it wasn’t even written by Jordan. https://t.co/xsW4GNft92

During a hearing Monday night on the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Adam Schiff claimed to have proof that a member of Congress texted former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to instruct former Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

Not only did Schiff misrepresent the substance of the text message and its source, he even doctored original text messages, which were obtained and reviewed by The Federalist in their entirety.:snip:

Jan. 6 committee admits to altering text message between Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan

The Jan. 6 committee admitted that it changed a text message between former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan, excluding relevant context about how they wanted then-Vice President Mike Pence to handle electoral votes.

“The Select Committee on Monday created and provided Representative Schiff a graphic to use during the business meeting quoting from a text message from ‘a lawmaker’ to Mr. Meadows. The graphic read, ‘On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all.' In the graphic, the period at the end of that sentence was added inadvertently. The Select Committee is responsible for and regrets the error,” a spokesman for the select committee said in response to inquiries from the Federalist.:snip:

Nancy Pelosi Is the Elephant in the Room of the January 6 Riot

:snip:

“According to the select committee’s charter, H.Res. 503, ‘the Speaker shall appoint 13 members to the select committee, five of whom shall be appointed in consultation with the Minority Leader.’ But the committee has zero members appointed in consultation with [House Minority] Leader [Kevin] McCarthy [R-CA], and it doesn’t have 13 members, it has nine.

“According to the committee’s charter, if Mr. Meadows had come in for a deposition, the minority must have been allowed to question Mr. Meadows for the same amount of time as the majority. Except no members of the committee were named by the minority.

“This isn’t nit-picking. The Supreme Court has found that a select committee must follow its own rules to act with legal force. So we have the select committee as it exists legally and on paper. And then we have something completely different. I don’t know what to call it but it doesn’t resemble the select committee that Democrats voted to pass on the House floor. It’s just nine members picked by Speaker Pelosi.”:snip:

• When then-USCP Chief Steven Sund made a request for national guard support on January 4th, why was that request denied?

• Did Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving get permission or instruction from your staff on January 4th prior to denying Chief Sund’s request for the national guard?

• What conversations and what guidance did you and your staff give the Sergeant at Arms leading up to January 6th specific to the security posture of the campus?

• What conversations did you have during the attack on the Capitol and what response did you give security officials on January 6th when Chief Sund requested National Guard support that required your approval?

• Why are your House Officers refusing to comply with preservation and production requests to turn over request materials relevant to the events of January 6th? :snip:

CNN Exclusive: Jan 6 investigators believe Nov. 4 text pushing 'strategy' to undermine election came from Rick Perry

By Jake Tapper and Jamie Gangel, CNN

Updated 4:29 PM ET, Fri December 17, 2021

Members of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol believe that former Texas Governor and Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry was the author of a text message sent to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows the day after the 2020 election pushing an "AGRESSIVE (sic) STRATEGY" for three state legislatures to ignore the will of their voters and deliver their states' electors to Donald Trump, three sources familiar with the House Committee investigation tell CNN.

It wasn’t just uncharged Ray Epps leading the Capitol breach. He had helpers.

The House’s Soviet-style January 6 committee continues its unsuccessful efforts to tie Donald Trump, people in his administration, Republican congresspeople, and Fox News personalities to the events on that day. What they’re ignoring as they try to destroy their political enemies is those people caught on tape actively encouraging the crowd to breach the Capitol. The most notable of these people is one Ray Epps but he’s not the only one. The Revolver has an extensive exposé looking, not just at Epps, but at others in the crowd who ought to be at the top of the FBI’s dragnet but, somehow, aren’t.

The Revolver article is too long and detailed to allow an easy summary here. Here’s a summary of just part of what it reveals:

Myriad footage shows Epps appearing at different times and in different places, both on January 5 and 6, actively and openly encouraging people to breach the Capitol. Indeed, at 12:50 p.m., while Trump was still speaking to a huge, peaceful crowd, Epps was the person who orchestrated the first breach of the Capitol barricades.:snip:

Jim Jordan says he has 'real concerns' with Jan. 6 panel after sit-down request

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said on Wednesday that he has "real concerns" about the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which requested to sit down with him in a letter earlier in the day.

Jordan was asked about the letter in an interview with “Fox News Primetime” guest host Brian Kilmeade.

“It looks like the Jan. 6 committee, who didn't want you on them, on the Jan. 6 committee, might want you in front of them to take questions. What will your reaction be? Will it be the same as Mark Meadows — take a walk — or would you sit down and speak to them?” Kilmeade asked Jordan.

“I mean we just got the letter today, Brian,” Jordan answered, later alleging that the committee had previously altered documents.

“We're going to review the letter, but I gotta be honest with you. I got real concerns about any committee that will take a document and alter it and present it to the American people, completely mislead the American people like they did last week,” he added. :snip:
