Man Accused in Sicknick Case:  ‘We’ve All Been Destroyed’

George Tanios’ fiancée encouraged him to go to Washington on January 6 to hear President Trump’s speech. “You’re gonna regret it if you don’t go,” she said, hoping he could take a break from working 100-hours-a-week to run his popular sandwich shop in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Tanios and I both laughed after he told me that during a two-hour interview this week. (I was in contact with his fiancée, Amanda, as she cared for their three young children while he was incarcerated for five months.)

But there is nothing funny about how Joe Biden’s Justice Department is trying to ruin Tanios’ life to maintain the myth that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died at the hands of Trump supporters on January 6. :snip:

GOP Rep. Steve Scalise Still Refuses To Acknowledge 2020 Election Was Legitimate

The House's second-ranking Republican repeated without evidence the false claim that states did not follow the Constitution when certifying their votes.

10/10/2021

Rep. Steve Scalise, the House’s second-ranking Republican, still refuses to acknowledge the 2020 presidential election’s legitimacy, nearly a year after the majority of states and Congress elected President Joe Biden.

The Louisiana congressman spoke on Sunday with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, repeating a false claim widely spread by GOP members that some states ― especially those where election results favored Biden over incumbent Donald Trump ― did not follow the Constitution when certifying their votes.

Capitol Police Whistleblower Claims Leadership Botched Jan. 6th And Lied to Congress About It[/b][/url]

Will This Hurt Pelosi's Plan For A Third Annual Trump Impeachment?

Andrew West and Jeff Dunetz

Oct 10, 2021

Over the next several months, we will learn quite a bit about the events of January 6th, but hopefully, not everything that we hear will be taken at face value. Capitol Polic

This is because the select committee investigating what the Democrats call an attempted insurrection is a partisan affair. Especially since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi barred certain members of the Republican Party from participating. This forced the GOP to rescind all of their picks.  Regardless of the endeavor’s merit, the biased left v. right paradigm is likely to taint the results.

Truth be told, Pelosi wants this committee to set up their third annual impeachment of Donald Trump, or at the very least ban him from running again as the Democrats are frightened that he will run again and win.

Outside of the committee’s work, there are genuinely disturbing revelations coming to light that could change how we view the event entirely.

A former high-ranking Capitol Police official with knowledge of the department’s response to the Jan. 6 attack has sent congressional leaders a scathing letter accusing two of its senior leaders of mishandling intelligence and failing to respond properly during the riot.

Quote

The whistleblower, who requested anonymity for privacy reasons and left the force months after the attack, sent the 16-page letter late last month to the top members of both parties in the House and Senate. His missive makes scorching allegations against Sean Gallagher, the Capitol Police’s acting chief of uniformed operations, and Yogananda Pittman, its assistant chief of police for protective and intelligence operations — who also served as its former acting chief.

The whistleblower accuses Gallagher and Pittman of deliberately choosing not to help officers under attack on Jan. 6 and alleges that Pittman lied to Congress about an intelligence report Capitol Police received before that day’s riot. After a lengthy career in the department, the whistleblower was a senior official on duty on Jan. 6.

Judge holds D.C. corrections officials in contempt over treatment of Jan. 6 defendant

A federal judge on Wednesday found D.C. corrections officials in contempt over the treatment of a Jan. 6 defendant and referred the matter to the Department of Justice for a civil rights investigation into whether other Capitol riot defendants are facing similar conditions.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said he would not issue contempt sanctions against D.C. Jail Warden Wanda Patten and Quincy Booth, the director of the D.C. Department of Corrections, after a long delay in turning over medical records related to a defendant's injury that required surgery.

Lamberth had found that the officials did not turn over records that were needed to approve the operation for defendant Christopher Worrell, a Proud Boys member charged with four felonies over the Jan. 6 riot.

“I find that the civil rights of the defendant have been abused," Lamberth, who was appointed by former President Reagan, said at a hearing Wednesday morning, according to The Washington Post. "I don’t know if it’s because he’s a January 6th defendant or not, but I find this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States for a civil rights investigation into whether the D.C. Department of Corrections is violating the civil rights of January 6th defendants ... in this and maybe other cases.”:snip:

'There have to be consequences:' Judge ups sentences for U.S. Capitol rioters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal judge in Washington has repeatedly sentenced people who stormed the U.S. Capitol to more prison time than prosecutors sought, saying that even people who were not violent should face consequences for joining the unprecedented assault.

In the past week, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has imposed sentences ranging from 14 to 45 days on four people who pleaded guilty to unlawful parading and picketing inside the Capitol building on Jan. 6 — a misdemeanor offense.

"There have to be consequences for participating in an attempted violent overthrow of the government, beyond sitting at home," Chutkan said at one of the hearings.:snip:

Babbitt shooting internal police docs reveal 'no good reason for shooting,' according to Judicial Watch

The documents show witnesses recount they did not see Babbitt holding a weapon

More than 500 pages of internal documents from DC Metropolitan Police concerning the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol on Jan. 6 reveal witness accounts stating she was not holding a weapon at the time of her death and how "upset" the officer was after shooting her.

"These previously secret records show there was no good reason to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt," stated Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, which obtained the documents through a May 2021 FOIA lawsuit. "The Biden-Garland Justice Department and the Pelosi Congress have much to answer for the over the mishandling and cover-up of this scandalous killing of an American citizen by the U.S. Capitol Police.":snip:

Was January 6 Part of the FBI’s ‘Operation Cold Snap’?

It’s only a matter of time before we learn how many “Big Dans” or Stephen Robesons were part of January 6.

:snip:

According to BuzzFeed’s exceptional July 2021 investigative report on the FBI-led plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020, Robeson “helped organize the national meeting, and he was enthusiastically pushing people he knew to attend.” The purpose of the conference was to recruit people who ultimately would stoke “political violence” against governors who refused to reopen their states after lockdowns supposedly necessitated by COVID.

Some participants said Robeson, known as “Robey,” relentlessly pestered them until they agreed to show up; people came from as far as Maryland and Kansas City, BuzzFeed’s Ken Bensinger and Jessica Garrison reported. One member of the Three Percenters, an alleged militia group on the FBI’s naughty list, observed people taking photos from discreet locations in the hotel. “The feds are everywhere,” he thought to himself.

Indeed. One of the feds was Robeson himself.:snip:

What Caused a Judge to Order an Investigation into the Jail Conditions for January 6 Defendants

:snip:A federal judge found the warden of the D.C. jail and director of the D.C. Department of Corrections in contempt of court Wednesday and called on the Justice Department to investigate whether the jail is violating the civil rights of dozens of detained Jan. 6 defendants.

U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth of Washington acted after finding that jail officials failed to turn over information needed to approve surgery recommended four months ago for a Jan. 6 Capitol riot defendant’s broken wrist.

The defendant, Christopher Worrell, is an accused Florida Proud Boys member charged with four felonies, including rioting and spraying pepper gel at police at a critical point leading to the initial Capitol breach.

The failure of D.C. officials to turn over medical records is “more than just inept and bureaucratic jostling of papers,” Lamberth said in a hearing, raising the possibility of deliberate mistreatment.

“I find that the civil rights of the defendant have been abused. I don’t know if it’s because he’s a January 6th defendant or not, but I find this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States for a civil rights investigation into whether the D.C. Department of Corrections is violating the civil rights of January 6th defendants .?.?. in this and maybe other cases.”

Lamberth stopped short of imposing further civil sanctions on jail officials, who belatedly produced the records Tuesday, or ordering the release of inmates. But he suggested that the U.S. Marshals Service may have to move inmates from the D.C. jail to other detention facilities if they are being treated improperly.:snip:

This is a slow rolling Fluster Cluck.  IF the democrats try to run the same game in 2022 as they did in 2020, You'll likely see Jan. 6 "Insurrection" all across the country.

Only this time there will be no quotation marks around Insurrection.

US Marshals: We're Looking to See If the January 6 Defendants Are Being Deliberately Mistreated

The feds have locked up hundreds of people connected to the January 6 riot. That’s all it was, by the way. It was a riot. It was not a violent insurrection. It wasn’t an armed coup. It wasn’t worse than the American Civil War. It sure as hell wasn’t worse than the 9/11 attacks. It was mostly a bunch of people walking around inside the Capitol Building. It’s why Democrats don’t want us to see all the security camera footage. It’s bland and boring as hell—far from the ‘end of the republic’ narrative they’ve been stroking for months. Get over it. Everyone else has—and the fact that hundreds have been arrested undercuts the reasoning behind creating a select committee to investigate how this happened. No one cares—especially now.

Yet, since hundreds are locked up as quasi-political prisoners, a judge seemed worried about deliberate mistreatment. One defendant had a broken wrist which required surgery. DC officials dithered on doing anything for four months. Why? Well, they wouldn’t say which is why they were held in contempt. Judge Royce C. Lamberth called for an investigation into the conditions of the prisoners and the US Marshal Service has acted upon that request (via NBC4 Washington😞:snip:

I wonder if at some point Someone in the high circles availed themselves of my 3 small Simple Questions?

1. What Do You Want?

2. How Do You Get It?

3. Then What Happens?

Merrick Garland Debunks Democrat 'Insurrection' Claims About Capitol Riot

Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before Congress on Thursday, covering a wide range of issues. During his testimony, however, he managed to debunk a major Democrat claim about the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Since the events of that day, the riot that took place has been dubbed an “insurrection” against the government by Democrats in Congress.

But, when asked by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) if any of the individuals who have been arrested for participating in the riot have been charged with “insurrection,” Garland told him “I don’t believe so.”

“Has any defendant involved in the January 6th events been charged with insurrection?” Gohmert asked.

“I don’t believe so,” Garland responded.

“Well, that is the word most used by Democrats here on Capitol Hill about January 6th, but no one has been charged with it that we could find, either,” Gohmert pointed out.:snip:

Biden at MLK Commemoration: 1/6 Was Motivated by White Supremacy

In remarks on Thursday marking the 10th anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in D.C., President Joe Biden insisted that white supremacy was the foundation of the Jan. 6 breach at the U.S. Capitol. He also alleged that such prejudice motivated supporters of then-President Donald Trump to storm the landmark, and accused Trump of explicitly appealing to racists.

"The violent, deadly insurrection on the Capitol nine months ago, it was about white supremacy, in my opinion," Biden said of the Jan. 6 riot, according to Bloomberg News.:snip:
