School District's New Math Curriculum Teaches Kids They Don't Have to Be Boys or Girls

How could math be made better? A school system in Missouri has an idea, and it concerns sex.

The Webster Groves School District has released its official K-12 Math Program Evaluation guide. It was informed by a survey of 2,132 students, 28 parents/caregivers, and 75 staff members. Ten “student empathy interviews” were also held.

Critical race theory taught at America’s top veterinary schools, new study finds

Eight of America’s top 11 veterinary schools have implemented controversial critical race theory (CRT) or Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) related curricula or training, according to a new study.

"If veterinary schools think they are advancing racial justice by embedding racial group identity politics into training, they are barking up the wrong tree," CriticalRace.org founder William A. Jacobson told Fox News Digital.

CriticalRace.org, which monitors critical race theory (CRT) curricula and training in higher education, has expanded its database to veterinary schools. The findings included that four of the schools have mandatory training or curriculum for students, eight have some sort of mandatory faculty and staff training, and six have incorporated DEI training into their search and hiring processes. :snip:

Anti-racist ideology rules Harvard's library

:snip:In glaring contrast, just yards from the Harry Elkins Widener room, is another room with a sign that reads: “Welcome to the heart of Harvard Library: Centering marginalized voices,” or, as I call it, ‘The Woke Room.’  The sign continues: “This space is a portal to a selection of our collections focused on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Antiracism values and scholarship.”  Welcome to the new ‘sanctum sanctorum’ (secular ‘holy of holies’) of antiracist ideology at Harvard.    :snip:

673 university professors sign letter opposing courses on America's founding, Constitution

Hundreds of professors at the University of North Carolina signed a public letter Tuesday opposing legislation that would require university students to take courses on America's government and founding documents.

The 673 UNC Chapel Hill professors revealed the public letter Tuesday, arguing the new courses and another bill in the North Carolina House of Representatives would constitute an infringement on the

The first piece of legislation, House Bill 96, would require students to take a 3 credit-hour course covering America's founding and history. Required reading for the course would include the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, at least five essays from the Federalist Papers, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Letter from Birmingham Jail and the Gettysburg Address.

The professors argue the legislation "violates core principles of academic freedom" and "substitutes ideological force-feeding for the intellectual expertise of faculty."

Villanova Students Required to Read Graphic Trans Sex Scene Between Minors, Student Says

An English seminar class at Villanova University reportedly required students to read a play depicting a graphic sex scene between minors, one of whom identifies as transgender.

Jennifer Joyce teaches the Core Literature and Writing Seminar Class at Villanova, ENG 1975-020, titled Narratives of Belonging in Contemporary Irish Literature. The specific class is one of several options for students who are required to take the core seminar, though students may be forced to take the class if the other class options have been filled.

On Tuesday, Joyce led discussions of the play “Scorch” by Stacey Gregg. “Scorch” is inspired by stories of biological women in the United Kingdom who tricked other women into having sex with them by pretending to be men. Examples include Fiona Manson, who now goes by Kyran Lee, charged with assault by penetration for having sex with another woman while pretending to be a man, as well as Gayle Newland, sentenced to eight years in prison for pretending to be a man in order to dupe her friend into having sex with her.:snip:

10,000-Strong School District Cancels Music Lessons to Fight White Supremacist Violence

America is undergoing a racism audit. And according to a Washington school system, we can’t let music lessons off the hook.

Per its website, “The Olympia School District (OSD) provides diverse and challenging learning opportunities for nearly 10,000 students with a staff of administrators, teachers and support personnel totaling more than 1,300.”

The large association boasts an Equity Team, and its Equity Policy Development department is keen to stop systemic racism:

The Olympia School District is committed to creating an equitable school district that serves ALL students well. … The [Equity Policy] will be collaboratively designed with the community to ensure a more inclusive school and work culture that promotes equity and addresses systemic and institutional barriers that have historically marginalized students, staff and families.

Toward the goal of social justice, the district recently made a noteworthy move: In order to fight white supremacy, it canceled music instruction. During a meeting with parents, School Board Director Scott Clifthorne explained the improvement. Evidently, blowing into a flute — like participation in church — is a violent act::snip:

“The reading was mandatory because there was a quiz on it, so if you did not do the reading, you would have failed the quiz in class,”

Federal Judge Orders School District To Allow After-School Satan Club

A federal judge on Monday ordered that a Pennsylvania school district must allow The Satanic Temple (TST) to use school property for its clubs, according to the ruling.

The ACLU filed a lawsuit against Saucon Valley School District (SVSD) after it allegedly denied an application from TST to host its “After School Satan Club,” despite having accepted the request earlier. A federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania issued a preliminary injunction Monday, requiring the district to allow the club while the lawsuit continues, according to the ruling:snip:

Commie Chic Invades American Grade Schools

Angela Davis was a dedicated fangirl of Soviet dictator Leonid Brezhnev and cult leader Jim Jones. So why is she presented to children as a hero?

Every day, my son, who is in seventh grade, sees a quotation from Angela Davis painted on his school’s wall: “Radical simply means grasping things at the root.” (The line actually comes from Karl Marx.) Four years ago, during Black History Month, a poster of Davis beamed down from the wall of his public elementary school in Brooklyn.

I eagerly praise my son’s charter school to other parents. It’s full of dedicated teachers who urge their students to debate politics and history with an open mind. So I wrote to the administration, proposing that they should balance the school’s homage to Davis with a quotation from Andrei Sakharov or Natan Sharansky, who fought to free the millions of Soviet bloc citizens that Davis wanted to keep locked up. After all, I reasoned, some of the school’s families are themselves refugees from communist tyrannies. My suggestion was met with silence.

Davis, who is now euphemistically celebrated as an “activist,” was in fact a loyal apparatchik who served working-class betrayers, some of whom were murderous bureaucrats, and others outright maniacs who defy any normative political description. Among the objects of her adoration were dullards like the East German leader Erich Honecker and the stupefied (and stupefying) Soviet Communist Party Chairman Leonid Brezhnev, as well as the Reverend Jim Jones. Before the grotesque mass suicide in Jonestown, Guyana, Davis broadcast a worshipful speech about Jones to the imprisoned Black women who were murdered by his cult.:snip:

DEI Swallows Texas A&M

The university has adopted radical politics in order to “dismantle systemic racism.”

Texas A&M is a systematically racist institution. According to whom? According to the leadership of Texas A&M.

In recent years, the College Station-based public university, originally founded with a focus on agriculture and engineering, has built a vast “diversity, equity, and inclusion” bureaucracy that has adopted the narrative of left-wing racialism, segregated students by race, and told colleagues to “stop centering whiteness.”

I have obtained a collection of documents through public-records requests that reveal this stunning process of ideological capture. According to these materials, virtually every academic and administrative unit at Texas A&M has adopted the politics of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and pushed radical and discriminatory measures to promote “social justice.”

The transformation of the university hit full speed following the death of George Floyd in 2020. As with many American institutions, the leadership at Texas A&M immediately adopted the narrative of critical race theory, which castigates the United States as a systemically racist nation and advocates for “anti-racist discrimination” in order to equalize outcomes.

“Racism, hate speech, safety, and belonging issues are evidence of systemic, cultural problems that are enduring trends at Texas A&M,” the university claimed in a report published that summer. “Texas A&M’s disparities in student success and representation of historically underrepresented groups of students, faculty, and staff may be attributable to systemic, racist, and discriminatory practices in higher education and society.”:snip:

Inmates Take Over the Asylum at a Kansas High School

The good news is that not every teacher in the schools across the nation is an agendized leftist culture warrior. Some teachers actually practice virtues like dignity, values, and common sense, and embrace ideas such as free speech and critical thought. The bad news is that such teachers seem to be much fewer in number than their guerrilla counterparts and face uphill battles in their efforts to reintroduce sanity to the classroom. Caedran Sullivan, a 15-year veteran English teacher at Shawnee Mission High School in Overland Park, Kan., is one such teacher. And she is paying the price.

Sullivan had become fed up with the woke culture at the school, which she says fostered an atmosphere of contempt and disrespect, according to The Blaze. To that end, she penned two op-eds in an online magazine called The Lion, which advocates a Christian approach to education. One of the pieces  titled, “Kansas public school teacher: Yes, your children are being indoctrinated” — outlines problems in the Shawnee Mission School District:

SMSD is fostering a toxic environment and requiring employees to attend Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) training and workshops centered around Critical Race Theory, including Black Lives Matter in the Classroom and Social Justice in the Classroom (using teachers’ “white privilege,” “white supremacy” and “de-colonizing our classrooms” propaganda).:snip:

2/3 of the way through, and I have a question. Were There (Are There Today) any actual Adults on campus? I ask because these "Students" remind me of a 6 yea old who wants Fruit Loops and can't get any.

They're either ideologically deranged, frozen with white guilt, or too frightened to push back. A of them had been reading/listening to Robin DiAngelo who locks white people in an identity Kafka trap - they just "shut up and listen."

I  suspect this true at Shawnee Mission High School.  My advice...Grow A Pair! You're adults for gods sake.

Don’t Know Much About History And that’s the first step toward losing our civilization.

:snip:

Larry Sand writes, “When teachers spend time forcing race- and gender-infused woke gibberish down the throats of American children, less time is available for more traditional subject matter.” He goes on to cite “a few of the myriad instances of students being hammered with the ravings of the woke”:

In Buffalo, New York, students were told that “all white people” perpetuate systemic racism, and kindergarteners were forced to watch a video of dead black children, warning them about “racist police and state-sanctioned violence” that might kill them at any time.

The San Diego Unified School District orders students to “confront and examine your white privilege” and to “acknowledge when you feel white fragility.” Additionally, children are told to “understand the impact of white supremacy in your work.”

In a training session for teachers in Seattle, schools were deemed guilty of “spirit murder” against black students.

In Springfield, Missouri, teachers are trained that people are given a “biological sex assigned at birth,” which often conflicts with their “gender identity” and “gender expression.”

In Illinois, the Evanston–Skokie school district has adopted a curriculum that teaches pre-K through third-grade students to “break the binary” of gender.

Sand rightly concludes, “So instead of learning factual American history—the good and the bad—students are now at the mercy of far-left advocates pushing a radical racial and sexual agenda. Unless the education establishment reverses course in a hurry, parents, already responsible for feeding, clothing, and housing their children, will need to educate them as well.”:snip:

As I tell my students, if you don’t know the history of the civilization in which you have been blessed to be born and raised; if you aren’t familiar with the great figures of the past whose transformative charisma and courage helped steer us out of barbarism; if you don’t appreciate the grand sweep of our struggle for the freedoms and prosperity of which you are the heirs; then you will be easy prey for the lies and manipulations of totalitarians and their lust for power. You will find yourself under the boot heel of a State power that has rewritten or erased the past in order to prop itself up, and you and your friends and family won’t possess the cultural identity or legacy that would empower you to resist.

Professor no longer in the classroom after allegedly forcing Christian students to fund Planned Parenthood

– A Christian student, who sued his business professor for forcing her class to fund an entity which fundraised for Planned Parenthood and other progressive political causes, said that his Christian beliefs propelled him to fight back.

"My money is in the hands of Planned Parenthood," Nathan Barbieri, a Michigan State University College of Business sophomore studying finance, said. He told Fox News Digital in an interview that he was "very upset" about it.

"For me, as a Christian, it's our calling. We're supposed to expose the bad things that happen and not just sit back and… be abused. That's our job," he said. :snip:

OUR ILLITERATE COLLEGE STUDENTS

How bad is America’s education system? Worse than you can possibly imagine.

At George Washington University (annual cost $78,335, although probably no non-Chinese citizen actually pays that, as college tuition numbers are fraudulent), students protested against the school’s teams being called the “Colonials.”

George Washington University changed its “Colonials” moniker to “Revolutionaries” after facing scrutiny from students who deemed the school’s mascot as offensive.

Revolutionaries! I suppose we should be glad they didn’t choose “Communists” or “Leninists.” But why in the world was the change demanded?

George Washington was pressured to come up with a plan to dispel the Colonials’ name in 2018.

More than 530 students objected to the “extremely offensive” Colonials moniker and claimed it “has too deep a connection [to] colonization and glorifies the act of systemic oppression.”

How dumb are these kids? Do they seriously not understand that George Washington and his fellow colonials were the colonized, not the colonizers? That is what it meant to be a colonial, like, say, the residents of India. How “Colonials” “glorifies the act of systemic oppression” is inexplicable. On the contrary, American colonials led by Washington rebelled against what they saw as systemic oppression.:snip:
