Valin
Prepare yourself for a shock. Politico: MSNBC hasn’t mentioned Jerusalem yet POLITICO – One widely discussed development in tonight’s Democratic convention coverage is the party’s decision — indeed, Obama’s decision — to include “God” in its platform and affirm Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. And yet while CNN and Fox News have discussed the issue frequently, MSNBC has yet to mention it once. In today’s edition of “choose your own adventure” news, the amount of times the word “Jerusalem” was mentioned on each channel between noon and 7 p.m. today: Fox News: 33 times CNN: 16 times MSNBC: 0 times
pollyannaish
It's funny that MSNBC is billing itself as the anti-fox. I think they are more appropriately designated the anti-radio talk show crowd. CNN and Fox seem downright normal now.

Rheo
Cecile Richards (born 1958)[1] is a Democratic Party activist and has been the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America since early 2006.[2] In 2010, Richards was elected to the Ford Foundation board of trustees. Richards previously founded and served as president of America Votes, a coalition of national Democratic Party-affiliated organizations.[3] Before that, she was deputy chief of staff to Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives.[4] She has also worked at the Turner Foundation.[5] In 1996, she founded the Texas Freedom Network, a Texas organization formed to counter the Christian Right.[6] Richards is the daughter of former Texas governor Ann Richards
Valin
A pre-Bubba prebuttal If the WaPo’s Glenn Kessler could fact-check a speech before Mitt Romney gave it, why not a little prebuttal of tonight’s featured DNC speaker? Although many viewers will opt for the opening of the NFL season, a likely female-skewing demo will tune in to hear former Pres. Bill Clinton, a man impeached for lying to a grand jury about lying to a federal judge about his sexual exploitation of his female employees. Unsurprisingly, Bubba was late turning in his homework, but it shouldn’t be difficult to estimate what he will say. Bill is unlikely to mention that a few years ago, Pres. Obama would have been carrying his bags and getting him coffee, let alone suggest that the incumbent is an amateur. He is also unlikely to focus on Mitt Romney’s sterling business record. Rather, the expectation is that Bill will say the things Barack cannot. Clinton is likely to tell a familiar Democratic fairy tale about how the GOP wrecked the awesome achievements of the Clinton administration so thoroughly that Obama is still trying to get America out of a ditch. Thus, it’s worth noting some of the gaping holes in that narrative. (Snip)
