Bribe Payments Flow from Illinois Dem’s Campaign Account

Democratic congresswoman Marie Newman (Ill.) paid another $24,500 in donor funds to a political rival she bribed to keep out of her primary race.

Newman's disbursements to Palestinian activist and terrorist sympathizer Iymen Chehade came over a three-month period, from January to March 2022, the Democrat's latest campaign finance disclosure shows. Newman has paid Chehade nearly $80,000 since the pair settled a breach of contract lawsuit in late June, which stemmed from an employment agreement Newman signed promising Chehade a six-figure job in her office in exchange for his commitment not to run against her.

After the Washington Free Beacon reported on those payments, fellow Illinois Democrat Sean Casten—who is running against Newman in the state's Sixth Congressional District—called on Newman to release the details of her settlement with Chehade. But the ongoing scandal does more than jeopardize Newman's political standing in the race. Federal law prohibits a candidate from promising employment "for the purpose of procuring political support," and the House Office of Congressional Ethics says it has "substantial reason to believe" Newman did just that.:snip:

Wisconsin Dem Cited for Tax Delinquency Lectures Billionaires To ‘Pay Your Taxes’

A Wisconsin Democratic Senate candidate who lectured billionaires on Monday to "pay your taxes" has a history of tax delinquency.

Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, the frontrunner in the Democratic Senate primary, failed to pay his property taxes or file tax returns while running for office in 2018—and defended himself at the time by claiming that "most people" don’t fully pay their taxes.:snip:

The South Carolina Democratic Party Has a Cocaine (Trafficking) Problem

Collin Anderson

May 2, 2022

In the last three years, political operative Jason Belton joined a billionaire Democrat's presidential campaign, became a campaign manager for a U.S. Senate race, and won election to a South Carolina Democratic Party leadership position—all while under federal indictment for trafficking nearly nine pounds of cocaine.

(Snip)

But Belton's apparent criminality has done little to deter his career—in fact, the operative's political sphere expanded significantly after his arrest. In August 2019, Belton joined liberal billionaire Tom Steyer's presidential campaign as its deputy political director, a gig that earned him more than $40,000 over a six-months period. After Steyer left the race in February 2020, Belton cofounded a political consulting firm, C&J Consulting, which boasts at least one client: Democratic South Carolina state legislator Krystle Matthews, who is challenging Republican senator Tim Scott. Belton, who in January was elected the third chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party Black Caucus, has described himself as Matthews's campaign manager.

(Snip)

But the political operative's criminal history and active legal battle are not the only sources of controversy for South Carolina Democrats. Belton's business partner, fellow C&J Consulting and Vision Walkers cofounder Craig Khanwell, is a longtime follower of anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has compared Jews to termites. Khanwell—who serves as South Carolina Democratic Party Black Caucus second chair—has referred to Farrakhan as his father figure, praised Farrakhan as "the epitome of the greatest among men," and argued that accusations of anti-Semitism are merely "a trick" to "stifle legitimate criticism of Jews and Zionist Israel."

Khanwell has also espoused extreme anti-vaccine conspiracy theories. In one Instagram post, he said taking the vaccine would mean giving Bill Gates, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and other "white" men "control of my molecular information." In another post, Khanwell shared a TikTok that called COVID the "biggest hoax of America" and speculated that those who died from the virus may have actually died from the flu. In June 2021, the South Carolina Democratic Party blamed Republicans for the state's "extremely low vaccination rates."

@Geee

What hit me was 9 Pounds of Cocaine. Back in The Day a Gram would run you around $30-$40 dollars. According to Google a Kilo will run you around 25-30 Thousand.

As Democrats call on the rich to "pay their fair share" in taxes, North Carolina congresswoman Kathy Manning (D.) has more than $1 million stashed in a Cayman Islands-based fund.

One of the wealthiest members of Congress, Manning and her husband hold more than $1 million in Seven Bridges Multi-Strategy Fund Ltd., her financial disclosure shows. The private fund is located in the Cayman Islands, a notorious tax haven for America's elite, according to SEC filings. Manning in 2020 earned up to $100,000 from the fund, which feeds into another investment fund that holds roughly $350 million from 144 investors. An investor must put up at least $1 million to join.:snip:

The Democrats: 'A Criminal Organization'

More than a decade ago, Michael Walsh dubbed the Democrats, “A criminal organization masquerading as a political party.” I once thought this was overstating the matter, but I no longer do. If you can’t fully accept this characterization, recent events surrounding the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, should unshutter your eyes and let in the light. Democratic leaders are encouraging lawless, threatening behavior against Supreme Court justices, and their attorney general refuses to enforce the law against such behavior. This criminal organization has a huge public relations outfit working around the clock for it, the Major Media, which is why you may have missed this.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that the leaders of the party are openly inciting violence in an effort to force the Court to decide cases based on fear of the mob, instead of the law.:snip:

Watchdog Calls for Investigation into Democrat Sen. John Hickenlooper’s Stock Transactions

A non-partisan ethics watchdog organization demanded an investigation into Democrat Sen. John Hickenlooper’s (D-CO) stock transactions after he allegedly failed to disclose numerous stock transactions done by his spouse between March and November 2021 in the timeframe required by federal law.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed a complaint with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics asking for it to “immediately investigate” Hickenlooper’s spouse’s stock transactions after he failed to disclose numerous transactions from March and November of 2021, valued at up to $1.3 million, which he finally reported on May 16.:snip:

Democratic Rep Cast Most Of His Votes By ‘Proxy’ While Spending Tens Of Thousands On Travel And Events

  • Democratic Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush has mostly voted by proxy over the last two years but spent thousands in travel and event expenses on the dime of taxpayers and donors, federal records reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.
  • The House authorized an emergency health policy in May 2020, letting members vote remotely — called “proxy” voting — as “a necessary and immediately feasible low-tech option” for those who cannot be physically present in the chamber.
  • “As in this case, when we see members regularly voting by proxy but also attending public campaign events at the same time, it is clearly contrary to the authorized purpose of the rule and it is plainly wrong,” said Kendra Arnold, executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust.:snip:

Metro Atlanta Mayor Sentenced for Stealing $650K in COVID Relief Funds

Stonecrest, Ga. is one of metro Atlanta’s newest cities. Sitting just east of Atlanta in DeKalb County, voters agreed to charter the new city in 2016. It’s home to a popular 2,500 nature preserve and a mall, from which the city took its name.

One of the men who spearheaded the efforts to create the city of Stonecrest and who served as the city’s first mayor is going to prison for 57 months. A court sentenced Jason Lary on Wednesday for stealing $650,000 in COVID-19 relief funds.

WSB Radio reports that Lary used COVID relief money to pay off his personal debts, and he gave grants to churches and small businesses with the stipulation that they would give some of the funds back to companies connected to him. For example, he gave his church $150,000 and asked the church to give $50,000 of it to one of his companies.

“Lary betrayed the trust placed in him by the citizens of Stonecrest by stealing the very funds meant to help his constituents weather the COVID-19 pandemic,” U.S. Attorney Ryan Buchanan said. “The people of Stonecrest deserved better, and corrupt officials can expect severe consequences for using their offices to commit crimes.”:snip:

Sole BLM-backed federal candidate charged with wire fraud scheme involving campaign and party funds

The only federal Democratic candidate backed by the Black Lives Matter PAC this election cycle is now facing a wire fraud charge for routing campaign and party funds to outside individuals and companies, and using the money on personal expenses, including gambling.

The Black Lives Matter PAC, a BLM Global Network Foundation-affiliated committee, in July 2021 pushed more than $100,000 into independent expenditures backing Karen Carter Peterson's failed attempt at entering Congress in Louisiana's 2nd district, federal records reviewed by Fox News Digital show.

Peterson, a former Louisiana Democratic Party chair and state senator, resigned from the state senate in April, citing her mental health and gambling addiction:snip:

Jury Finds Democrat Super PAC Defamed Roy Moore and Awards Him $8.2 Million in Damages

A federal jury in Alabama determined that a Democrat Super PAC defamed Judge Roy Moore, former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama, and awarded him $8.2 million in damages for the injury to his reputation on Friday.

The focus of Moore’s lawsuit against the D.C.-based Senate Majority PAC was an ad they ran during his Senate campaign against former Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) in Alabama’s 2017 special election.:snip:

:snip:

Moore maintained his innocence and staunchly denied the accusations when the Washington Post’s report came out.

“This garbage is the very definition of fake news and intentional defamation,” Moore said at the time.

Moore praised Friday’s jury decision as “vindication” and said it is “a huge blow” to the Senate Majority PAC.

“This is a huge blow to a major super PAC out of Washington DC that interfered in a senate election in the state of Alabama,” Moore said. “The people of this state are tired of dirty politics and attempts by the establishment in Washington DC to control who the people of this state elect to the United States Senate.”:snip:

Donor to NY Gov. Hochul Gets $637M for Covid Tests

A company has been paid $637 million in New York taxpayer funds to provide the state Department of Health with at-home Covid-19 tests after the company’s owner donated $300,000 to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s campaign.

The Albany Times Union pointed out the quid pro quo, noting that since December, the New Jersey-based company, Digital Gadgets LLC, a wholesaler of hoverboards and other electronic devices that pivoted to supplying medical equipment during the pandemic, received the state funds without going through a competitive bidding process.:snip:
