A statement on the company's website declares: We, the Ben & Jerry’s Board of Directors, compelled by our personal convictions and our Company’s mission and values, wish to express our deepest admiration to all of you who have initiated the non-violent Occupy Wall Street Movement and to those around the country who have joined in solidarity. The officials said the plot included the assassination of the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, Adel Al-Jubeir, with a bomb and subsequent bomb attacks on the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington, D.C. Lingle, a two-term governor, is viewed as her party's best chance to take a seat that's been in Democratic hands since 1977. Lingle has had little profile since leaving office after the 2010 election. She'll be on the 2012 ballot at the same time as Hawaii's native son, President Obama, seeks a second term.
