Vice President Biden reassured the World Jewish Congress on Wednesday that U.S. support for Israel wouldn’t diminish under President-Elect Trump’s administration.

Biden added that even under the administration “Congress would never let it happen, the American people would never let it happen."

 

 

After the last 7 years... Israel and the American Jewish community ought to be worrying about the Obama/Biden support of Israel for the next couple of months.

After Americans—and especially American celebrities—began considering making good on their promises to “move to Canada” in the wake of Donald Trump election victory, Canadians took to Twitter to warn Americans that they’d best stay where they are.

Even CBC, Canada’s state-owned broadcasting network, is trying to actively discourage a mass migration. As the Canadian Immigration and Citizenship website crashed last night, the CBC took to its blog to warn people that emigrating to Canada isn’t as easy as jumping a border.

To avoid deportation back to Trump’s America, they’d have to spend years in Canada’s aggressive filter system and spend thousands of dollars. And then, they’d have to find jobs in Canada’s crowded urban metropolises—unless, of course, they like farming.

But if there’s anyone Canada really doesn’t want, among the number of celebrities who “seriously’ pledged to move north, it’s Girls star Lena Dunham (though, it seems, they’d also prefer not to house either Miley Cyrus or Amy Schumer).

Smug, contemptuous, condescending — egg, meet face.

 

A red-faced Newsweek magazine was forced to retrieve from store shelves 125,000 prematurely released editions that ran the headline “Madam President” alongside a smiling face of Hillary Clinton – because, of course, she didn’t win.

 

The issues had been printed in anticipation of an easy Clinton win of the White House, as a way of commemorating the historic event. Unfortunately, Newsweek powers-who-be got ahead of themselves and apparently, in a sort of scoop-gone-bad, failed to take note that it was Donald Trump, not Clinton, who had won in a timely enough manner.

After noticing the most embarrassing error, which also seems to suggest a media bias, Newsweek raced to Twitter to shed responsibility.

 

“From the Editors,” Newsweek tweeted. “2 special edition covers for 2016 election outcomes were produced by a Newsweek licensee, Topix Media, and not be Newsweek.”

Well, that may be, but the magazines bear the Newsweek name. And though Topic Media had prepared two versions of the presidential race outcome, one for a Clinton win and the other for a Trump triumph, the fact is only the Clinton version was released.

 

Why?

 

“Like everybody else, we got it wrong,” Tony Romando, chief executive of Topix Media, told the New York Post.

In other words: Clinton was supposed to be a sure thing.

 

As the Telegraph reported:

 

“Newsweek and a partner that prints up special commemorative issues has been forced into an embarrassing recall, after it sent out 125,000 copies of its Madam President issue designed to celebrate Hillary Clinton’s win. …

“The edition appeared on shelves on Tuesday but was hastily withdrawn.

 

“‘All wholesalers and retailers have been asked to return any issues they have as we need to clear room for [150,000 copies of] the President Trump issue,’ said Mr Romando. ‘We expect it to sell very well as there is obviously a great demand.’

 

“He said only 17 copies were sold.

 

“The front cover went viral as soon as it was publicized, with some Trump supporters – apparently oblivious to the alternative version – claiming it showed collusion between the mainstream media and the Clinton campaign.”

 

What’s even worse is this, also from the Telegraph:

“Mrs. Clinton was even spotted signing a copy at an eve of election event in Pittsburgh.”

U.S.—As anti-Trump rallies nationwide turned hostile overnight with widespread reports of violence, looting, vandalism, and death threats against the president-elect and his supporters, police in numerous major cities were able to instill calm and regain control by handing out participation trophies to all millennial protesters who were enraged about losing the election, sources confirmed.

The shrewd tactic was the idea New York Police Officer Joe Butler, who has three twentysomething children himself, and noted to reporters Thursday that he remembered how his children “never had to deal with losing as they were growing up.”

“It’s a foreign notion to them. Even in sports—win or lose, everyone won, and everyone got a trophy no matter what. This is the millennial way,” he said. “So I had the idea—hey, why not start handing out participation trophies to the protesters, and telling them ‘Hey, you know what? You may have lost the election, but look—everyone gets a trophy. Everyone’s a winner.'”

Seeing how the trophies had an instantaneous calming effect on the millennials and filled them with a sense of fulfillment and achievement, word spread quickly among police departments nationwide, and emergency trophies were procured by the thousands for use at the rallies.

Press seems to be ramping up on Trump is not going to give them the constant access Obama has (LOL like this is even true). Trump did not tell the press where he was going tonight and that is unheard of. Of course the CNN press guy saying this is a major deviation has been in the Presidential press pool for ... 3.5 years (he says). How would he have a clue what the President elect in the past did or did not do. Also why should the press have hourly access to President if they refuse to do their job as was clear with Obama.

CNN Don Lemon show. White bigotry/racism led to more white women voting for Trump than for the woman Hillary (53%). So they imply women should have voted for a women (bigotry/sexism). Then they show 93% blacks for Hillary and Obama's agenda but that was not enough. More blacks should have voted for the "black" agenda. Sigh.

Trump is going to play mind games with the press. He'll treat them as they deserve to be treated...as hostiles. I don't think I've ever seen a better manipulator, than Trump. I remember the "birther" conference that he announced...and let generals and admirals & MOH winners talk for most of 30-40 minutes...before he popped on-stage & said a few words & did a "mike-drop." Didn't cost him a cent...and the media complained about being duped. Every President has a different control of media. Bush43 didn't give them much of anything. Barky tried creating a completely "In-house" media group...and avoided any open press meetings without TOTUS. He bribed the press with favor, until the fawning had his back. He also planted spouses & siblings of media heads in his administration. Trump is probably the most natural of any of them. I think business has honed his technique. But, because he says pretty much what comes to mind...it might be highly entertaining to watch him. One thing I'm sure of: the lame stream media is going to be "punished" for their complete liberal bias...and rightly so...

The stock market, for two days in a row, is absolutely crushing.

Now, Trump has named one of the most well known climate-change skeptics to lead his EPA transition team.

Donald Trump has selected one of the best-known climate skeptics to lead his U.S. EPA transition team, according to two sources close to the campaign.

Myron Ebell, director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute, is spearheading Trump’s transition plans for EPA, the sources said.

The Trump team has also lined up leaders for its Energy Department and Interior Department teams.

Republican energy lobbyist Mike McKenna is heading the DOE team; former Interior Department solicitor David Bernhardt is leading the effort for that agency, according to sources close to the campaign.

Ebell is a well-known and polarizing figure in the energy and environment realm. His participation in the EPA transition signals that the Trump team is looking to drastically reshape the climate policies the agency has pursued under the Obama administration. Ebell’s role is likely to infuriate environmentalists and Democrats but buoy critics of Obama’s climate rules.

Ebell, who was dubbed an “elegant nerd” and a “policy wonk” by Vanity Fair, is known for his prolific writings that question what he calls climate change “alarmism.” He appears frequently in the media and before Congress. He’s also chairman of the Cooler Heads Coalition, a group of nonprofits that “question global warming alarmism and oppose energy-rationing policies.”

 

Ebell appears to relish criticism from the left.
