Obama's 'Independent' NSA Review Panel All Democratic Operatives http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/09/23/Obama-s-Independent-5-Person-NSA-Review-Panel-Made-Up-Of-5-Democratic-Operatives

In the wake of the National Security Agency (NSA) spying scandal, President Barack Obama announced the creation of an "independent group" of "outside experts" that would ensure civil liberties were not violated and that the public's trust restored.

Four of the five review panel members previously worked for Democratic administrations: Peter Swire, former Office of Management and Budget privacy director under President Bill Clinton; Michael Morell, Obama's former deputy CIA director; Richard Clarke, former counterterrorism coordinator under Clinton and later for President George W. Bush; and Cass Sunstein, Obama's former regulatory czar. A fifth panel member, Geoffrey Stone of the University of Chicago, leads a university committee looking to build Obama's presidential library in Chicago and was an informal adviser to Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.

The Mower Gang: #Anarchy in Detroit, Part I http://reason.com/reasontv/2013/09/23/the-mower-gang-anarchy-in-detroit-part-i

We all know Detroit's in trouble: A bankrupt city full of crumbling houses, abandoned factory buildings, and a dwindling population.

Scissors-32x32.png

This is Reason TV's coverage of what happens when people are left to their own devices and forced to come up with creative ways to pick up the pieces and find solutions in a city they once loved.

This is #Anarchy in Detroit, a four-part series showcasing what actual Detroit residents are doing to make the Motor City a better place to live.

In Part I, Tom Nardone is tired of seeing Detroit's public parks go unmowed by the city government. He thinks that children should have a place to play. So, he hops on his mower and does it himself. Then, he invites others.

"I was surprised when the first person showed up. I was like, 'All right. I guess someone's as crazy as I am,'" says Nardone.

Hence, the Mower Gang is born.

Let's not get carried away Nickydog....

On closer inspection of those mowers in the video, I notice that most of them would not meet the latest EPA guidelines on emissions.

Additionally, I have a feeling that these outlaws did not get the proper permits that should be required for this effort.

There were no visible displays of the union membership. so these scabs need to be stopped immediately.

Finally, there is substantial danger to these mower operators and children in the immediate vacinity that must be prevented by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Put it all together... and this is a highly illegal activity that must be stopped right now.

Semi-Book Review – The Liberty Amendments http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=204994#more-204994

by Claudia - September 24, 2013 - 23:45

For my brother’s birthday I bought him Mark Levin’s book, “The Liberty Amendments”. He loves the US Constitution and history about the founding fathers. Before I mailed it off to him, I read it cover to cover (yes, I told him I read it! He said he’d do the same thing.)

In reading a section in chapter nine, Mr. Levin writes about something that James Madison wrote,

“But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.

Mark then commented,

“The Framers knew the nature of man better than most, which is why they were careful and deliberate in establishing our constitutional system in the first place. The original constitutional construct – a social compact with limits, enumerations, divisions, etc. – was instituted to preserve the civil society and the individual’s unalienable rights. But there is no denying that the federal government today is in many ways inimical to that purpose. The steady jog toward unbridled, centralized decision-making has become a sprint. The federal government has evolved into a colossus and the circle of liberty that surrounds each individual is shrinking.”

What I believe the intent of Mr. Levin’s book in summary is that because man created the United States government and it was to be man that maintained that government, the framers knew that man would corrupt what they established. Knowing this, they built into the law of the government a way for those who love this country and its law (constitution) a way to fight the corruption. The book lays out in detail how we can accomplish this fight against the corruption of the constitution.

Scissors-32x32.png

So, what does that mean for us now? Do we wait for our “perfect” candidate to appear and save us? Or do we do something more than bitch about stupid liberals? Mr. Levin suggests that the Convention of States must happen to restore the law of our constitution. How will this happen?

Let’s find out at the Convention of States website: http://conventionofstates.com/

Hard to find the right spot to post this......it's a sad, sad comment on humanity:

Irish feminists are OK with selective abortion of females http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=204919

The Message is Girls are Worthless and the Silence From Feminists is Deafening

Last week, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Britain said that it wouldn’t prosecute doctors who were caught on tape saying they were willing to abort unborn babies – simply because they were girls.

Did this horrendous decision cause outrage amongst Irish feminists?

It did not.

Did RTÉ News or other broadcasters castigate this hideous abuse of women’s rights, and demand a reconsideration of the CPS decision which effectively allowed doctors to get away with breaking the law? Was there condemnation from the columnists at the Irish Times or the Irish Independent?

Not a bit.

Let’s be clear about what happened. The British newspaper The Telegraph secretly taped doctors in two separate abortion clinics who agreed to abort baby girls for being the wrong gender. Gendercide or sex-selective abortion is against the law in Britain.

However, the CPS said that while there was enough evidence to charge and likely convict the abortionists involved, it would not be in the “public interest” to do so.

But there is no outcry, because, you see, this is abortion, so you can still call yourself a woman’s rights advocate and uphold the right to kill a baby simply because she is a girl.

In the world of feminism gone mad, abortion has become the ultimate sacred cow....

Pope Francis is a bad terrible evil wicked person, who hate gays and women.

What a difference a week makes.

I am always surprised (even though I shouldn't be) and (being a fairly twisted person) amused when the MSM discovers to its horror that the Pope is Catholic.

Just got my first jury summons. First one I have ever received although have been a registered voter for most of my life. Can't get excited about it. Oct. 17th means I have to get up early and be there by 8:30AM. First time in years that I may have to set the alarm.

When you get there @Casino67.........tell them that you strongly believe in the death penalty.....for minor offenses.....then yell out "Hang 'em, hang 'em high!"

Guaranteed you'll be back home by 9:05AM.......oh.......ask if they validate parking.....

If that doesn't work.....ask them to "please schedule the trial after 3PM and to end by 5PM....because I can't miss my nap time..."

It did come with a questionaire. One of the questions asked was 'if me or anyone in my family was claims adjuser'. I was in that business in one form or another for many years. Maybe that will get me off. Won't be able to be considered in a traffic accident case.

Watch me catch a murder trial that lasts weeks.

Unfunny Joke Post:

Kerry signs UN Arms Trade Treaty despite objections http://www.humanevents.com/2013/09/25/kerry-signs-un-arms-trade-treaty-despite-objections/

Busy objecting to Kerry/Obama usurping the Senate's role in making treaties.........while kissing the bum of Obama on Oblamercare.........Senator Robert P. Corker (R.-Tenn.)

Defying warnings from the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John F. Kerry signed the United Nations Small Arms Trade Treaty Sept. 25 at the UN headquarters in New York City.

“The ATT raises significant legislative and constitutional questions. Any act to implement this treaty, provisionally or otherwise, before the Congress provides its advice and consent would be fundamentally inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution, law, and practice,” said Sen. Robert P. Corker (R.-Tenn.), the senior GOP senator on that chamber foreign relations panel.

Scissors-32x32.png

.....and in an elitist, progressive, tone-deaf, "watch-the-squirrel-not-my hands" moment....Secretary of Blunders & pResidential Embarrassment's State Kerry:

Kerry signed the treaty on behalf of the president while he attended the UN’s General Assembly meetings.

“On behalf of President Obama and the United States of America, I am very pleased to have signed this treaty here today. I signed it because President Obama knows that from decades of efforts that at any time that we work with – cooperatively to address the illicit trade in conventional weapons, we make the world a safer place. And this treaty is a significant step in that effort,” the secretary said in remarks at a small reception after the signing.

“I want to be clear both about what this treaty is, but I also want to be clear about what it isn’t. This is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors,” he said.

Scissors-32x32.png

Not commenting on the Treaty signing: Dead Mexicans & Americans from the attempted move to gut the 2nd Amendment in Fast & Furious.....4 dead Americans [including an Ambassador] along with dead Egyptians,Syrians and Salafist terrorists who received just those kind of weapons from the Benghazi Bungle & Massacre.....and again.....Syria....a continuing debacle of arms to terrorists & support of Al Qaeda that has resulted in Christian, Muslim & peaceful Syrians dying in the tens of thousands.

Oblunder......at work increasing sales of guns for Americans through their fear of his plans for a Communist Empire....and equally at home with an inept & backward leading Foreign Policy that increases sales or gifts of weapons to genuine narco-terrorists and crazy Muslims....while CONDEMNING SAME IN A FARCE!!!!!
