HUGE MAJOR SHOCKING NEWS!!!

Me or We: Stanford study concludes self-interest wins out over society’s

Anne Sorock Thursday, January 31, 2013

A study entitled “In the Land of the Free, Interdependent Action Undermines Motivation” published this month from Stanford University researcher MarYam Hamedani concludes that appeals to community motivation, what they call “interdependence,” are less compelling than independent behaviors when addressing social challenges.

In other words, if you’re trying to get people to go along with an idea like recycling, stress individual impact rather than societal good.

Obama, Romney, and GOP Technology: A Chilling Analysis

edfactor

Jan 31, 2013

This post is about technology, but is written for a non-technical audience.

You may think you know what happened with the technology of the Obama and Romney campaigns because of what you read about Orca. You don't know. This article is incredibly long. It will be worth it, and you will never look at technology and politics in the same way. If someone knows where to post or put this so that the RNC sees it, please do so. I am designating this content under a Creative Commons CC-BY license. Distribute freely with attribution.

This article will attempt to answer the following questions:

- What role did technology play in the 2012 presidential election?

- How did Obama and Romney spend their money?

- What were the differences in their approaches?

- How did their spending and approaches affect what they were able to do?

- How far ahead are the Democrats in technology?

- Will this technology trickle down?

Lessons Learned

- What are the big lessons?

- Can Republicans catch up?

This is excellent analysis. What is ironic is that while the GOP (including me) get so frustrated with the msm, that's not what won the election. It was the customized messaging that won the race. It was all in the micro targeting, not the big picture. What's interesting to me is how dangerous this is on a leadership basis. It works against the exact kind of leaders we need to elect.

I know a lot of people (unlike me) really get into this kind of thing. I thought it was good...but then what do I know. Candidates and public figures on the right have to understand 2 things 1. The Media is not your friend, they will not cut you any slack & 2. Don't say stupid things. Candidates and public figures on the right should say these two thing 10 times every morning and think them every time a reporter asks a question. It's not so much what a person says, but how they say it. We have to be like Caesar's wife must be above suspicion, If Joe Biden saying the things he has said would he be VP?

That is true. But we also need to learn how to say the right things to the right people at the right times. Every time I open a gmail account, or my FB page or other sites what I see is geared to me. If I am discussing Obama's honesty with a friend they are able to understand and influence that conversation on an intimate level by injecting advertising into it. That is really, really powerful. And if it is going unanswered, we have a problem. I think the important thing to take away from this is not that we say things better to the group, but that we increase message relevance to an individual in the moment.

We are all being subtlely influenced on a daily basis by customization. I did testing for a online lead generation company a few years ago and it is very easy to manipulate people. I discovered that bolding a single word, posting a single photo could manipulate, well, influence behavior sometimes as much as 60%. These are very, very powerful tools. What this has taught me is tone a more careful consumer. But still...

I wonder how many people really understand that they are being manipulated, for good or ill?

bush-mission-accomplished.jpg

This classic case comes to mind. How many people think this was George Bush saying mission accomplished in Iraq?

That lead to this

I think our general population is as dumb as a stump, probably have no idea what manipulation means or care what it means as long as they get what they want without working

Part of the problem lies with we not the Right. In not explaining who, what why & how of Conservatism, correctly.

But wouldn't it help if we had someone who looked and acted cool? People like cool.

that made me think of when Kennedy & Nixon were running, I was a big Kennedy fan, did some campaign work here for him, one day my bosses asked me why I was working to get him elected and being a young idiot I said he's soo good looking and young. They looked at me and said that' s exactly why children can't vote (I wasn't 21 yet), voting on looks and who's the best dancer will be the ruin of this country.

MUSLIMS BURN CATHOLICS ALIVE IN NIGERIA

http://www.newswithviews.com/Roth/laurie360.htm

January 30, 2013 - NewsWithViews.com

Shameful U.S. media is asleep at the wheel again

I was gut punched and reminded yet again of the horrifying truth of Islam and its tactics worldwide. Thanks to Ruth White the fearless editor and publisher of

BreakingNewsJournal I saw the photo below of those burned alive simply for not being Muslim and practicing a different faith.

Father Jaun Carlos Martos commented: “This is a brutal example of how far the struggle between Muslims and Catholics in Nigeria has reached. Muslims determined to impose their ‘religion’ all over Africa as well as in other continents and countries of the world have but one goal: rule the world at any cost!”

Ruth White tried to get the truth out of this International hate crime but was stunned at the response, basically nothing. She then trying to post the photo on Facebook but that didn’t work either. The photo was classified as

picture1.gif‘pornographic’ ‘violent’ or ‘inappropriate’, thus she was not allowed to publish it to provide proof of the unbelievable human rights violations going on as we speak in Nigeria. It is genocide against Christians of all kinds and where is the U.N? Scissors-32x32.png

Nope. Wa-a-ay too gangly and homely. I mean, look at him -- he can't even make his tie and collar look decent. And he has bags under his eyes and his hair is a mess. Definitely not cool.
