SrWoodchuck Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 I like air conditioning & I have it now, but I prefer swamp coolers, except they need scrupulous maintenance, for water cleanliness and the aspen pads need replacing every year. The thing is, swamp coolers won't work in high humidity.......but after living in Bakersfield, and that dry heat.....you can only go from your car air-con to your house swamp cooler.
