Gosnell Movie Raises Over $2 Million
Christine Rousselle
May 08, 2014

With five days remaining to reach its fundraising goal of $2.1 million, Gosnell Movie appears to be in great shape to exceed this total. This afternoon, the movie surpassed the $2,000,000 barrier, continuing to break its own record as the most successful project ever funded on IndieGoGo.

At the current rate of fundraising (over fifteen hundred dollars have been raised in the 15 minutes I've been writing this article), the movie is likely to meet its goal by tomorrow at the latest. IndieGoGo and similar crowdfunding sites require that goals be met in order to receive the funds for the project.

Coming soon to TV: The atheist channel?

AtheistTV will be launching this summer with big plans to reach out to atheists, humanists, freethinkers, and folks who are looking for a way out of faith.

Members of American Atheists, the organization behind the endeavor, think its about time.

Hey and good luck with that guys! May I suggest you start by taking on the Wiccans? I'd stay away from Islam...they have a tendency to react rather....negatively to criticism.

HGTV Drops Show After Learning Of Hosts Deviant Beliefs http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=234848

hgtv-flip-or-flop-christina-26.png

NEW YORK (WNB) - Home and Garden Television has announced it is cancelling a scheduled show before its premiere after learning of the hosts' "bizarre and deviant" personal beliefs.

The scheduled show, "Flip It Forward," was to feature twin brothers Jason and David Benham helping families make improvements to their homes.

HGTV cancelled the show after a liberal website disclosed the Christian brothers are opposed to the wholesale slaughter of unborn children, believe homosexuality is neither normal nor healthy, and refuse to equate the antichrist religion of Islam to Christianity.

Sources say the network is desperately seeking "twin gay atheist brothers who can pretend to work on houses."

The Week in Pictures: Graduation Edition

Steven Hayward

May 10, 2014

With most colleges and universities are observing graduation right around now, which is usually a sign that summer is right around the corner. Will someone please tell the Climatistas? There is snow in the forecast for the front range of the Rockies tomorrow and Monday, and I hear that Lake Superior is still one-third iced over. If that doesnt put a chill in the minds of most graduates, then surely the tax deductions in their first paystub willif they can find jobs. Cheer up: theres always your parents basement, and your old collection of comic books and superhero costumes to put on. What else? Oh yeahMonica is back in the news. Sweet!

Maybe Harry Reid Needs to Rest in a Quiet Place

http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?p=235143

harryreid.jpg

If you think Senator Harry Reid has been acting a little crazy lately, you’re not alone.

In response to Reid’s behavior, the Editors of National Review have written a thoughtful note on his behalf…

The Editors would like to extend our condolences to Senator Harry Reid and his family as they go through this difficult time. While we can only guess at the exact nature of the psychiatric or neurological trauma the Senate majority leader has suffered, we assume that it is severe, judging by his symptoms, the most prominent of which is his new habit of taking to the Senate floor to deliver speeches that sound like they ought to be coming from a man wearing a bathrobe in front of a liquor store in Cleveland.

The Washington Post, which once had the fine discretion to overlook the embarrassing personal defects of Democrats within its good graces, recently awarded the poor man the dreaded “three Pinocchios” from its fact-checkers, who noted that the senator’s latest claims about the proprietors of Koch Industries, about whom Senator Reid obsesses the way Rosie O’Donnell obsesses about metallurgy, were largely disconnected from reality.

So now Collins is claiming he would have been drafted higher if he had not come out gay. Bias he says in the NFL. No proof of course.

Maybe there is some bias, not because he is gay, but because he is making an issue of it and the teams don't want to deal with the publicity/circus he is creating.
