General Electric workers protest vaccine mandate

Dozens of General Electric employees staged a walk-out over the company’s vaccine mandate.

More than 200 employees in New York protested on Friday against the company’s vaccine mandate. This comes after roughly 150 workers lined up outside of the General Electric facility in South Carolina Thursday.

GE said all its staff members must comply with the federal mandate and get vaccinated by Dec. 8. However, some of the protestors have said this isn’t about the actual vaccine, but rather about their personal rights.

The Science Doesn't Support Democrats Masking Kids

 

Go to any school in Europe, and you’ll see happy children running, reading, and learning — all without any masks on their little faces. But here in the United States, 10 states and countless counties have mandated the wearing of masks for even the youngest kindergartners.

Why the difference?

Well, in Europe, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control does not recommend that children under 12 wear masks in school. The ECDC guidance on the matter notes that children younger than 12 “may have a lower tolerance to wearing masks for extended periods of time, and may fail to use the masks properly.”

But here in the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued guidance that “Masks should be worn at all times, by all people in school facilities” including “all classroom and non-classroom settings, including hallways, school offices, restrooms, gyms, auditoriums, etc.”

NYFD Shutters 26 Firehouses Over Vaccine Mandate

As of 7:30 a.m. Saturday, New York City has locked up 26 firehouses due to manpower shortages blamed on the COVID vaccine mandate.

GOP Rep. Nicole Malliotakis represents Staten Island and Brooklyn, where five of the now-closed stations are located. If someone dies, she points the blame at Komrade de Blasio.

The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) declared that the closings are not forever, insisting they are “temporarily out of service.”

Seventy-two percent of the FDNY has been vaccinated, and 84% of the New York Police Dept. has been inoculated as of Friday’s deadline.

“People that aren’t retiring or quitting right out are gonna be on unpaid leave like myself. There’s not going to be enough bodies,” stated a 23-year-old EMT who spoke on condition of anonymity. “You know New York City, the call volume is high and the manpower, in general, is bad, without all this going on. We are always needing more people. It’s going to be a little crazy.”

If you thought the crime in NYC was bad, wail until 16% of the NYPD is off the job. And be careful with your candles this holiday season, as the FDNY response time just got longer.

On Saturday, protestors and police clashed in the Saxony, Germany city of Leipzig, where a rally against an upcoming Saxony vaccine passport was held.At least 3,000 people were registered to attend the Leipzig Movement's march across the Leipzig Ring, according to DW. Due to tightened COVID-19 restrictions though, only 1,000 were legally allowed to attend.

Despite this DW stated that more than 1,000 people showed up for the event. 24 people were arrested for carrying prohibited objects.

The protest began peacefully, but grew tense throughout the event, with protestors shouting at police.

Clashes between protestors and Antifa members broke out at Boston Common on Sunday as protestors gathered for a rally against COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates.

The protestors and Antifa were separated by police in riot gear and fencing temporarily placed for the event, and streets surrounding Boston Common were closed down in anticipation of the event, according to NBC 10.

 

The two groups clashed on at least one occasion, with Antifa members appearing to overpower police as they broke through the fence line.

The rally was organized by Super Happy Fun America and the Refounding Fathers Coalition, with the event being aimed to "resist vaccine passports, face diapers, mass layoffs, and unconstitutional mandates."

On Monday, thousands gathered outside Los Angeles City Hall to protest the vaccine mandate for all city workers that went into effect Monday. The vaccine mandate requires city employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 18.

The LA County sheriff has expressed similar sentiments, further stating that he has no intention of letting his office be used as a sort of "vaccine police" either.

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, on the other hand, pushed back by saying that any city employees not vaccinated at this point "should be prepared to lose their job."

WELLINGTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - New Zealand beefed up security measures at its parliament on Tuesday as thousands of people gathered to protest against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and government lockdowns aimed at controlling the pandemic.

All but two entrances to the parliament building, known as the Beehive, were closed off in unprecedented security measures, as mostly unmasked protesters marched through central Wellington and congregated outside parliament.

 

While the demonstration was peaceful, many people were seen holding signs and placards with messages like "Freedom" and "Kiwis are not lab rats" and shouting slogans as they demanded the government roll back compulsory vaccination and lift restrictions.

In Rabat, police cordoned off the square where an unauthorized rally was to be held in the city center, with around 100 demonstrators dispersed.

Melbourne protesters spend third night on Parliament steps

Hundreds of protesters in Melbourne have rallied for a third consecutive night on the steps of State Parliament, demanding Victoria's proposed new pandemic legislation be torn up.

Peaceful demonstrations against the controversial bill were hijacked yesterday by other protesters making disturbing threats against Premier Daniel Andrews.

They made threats to storm Parliament and set up makeshift gallows.

An inflatable Daniel Andrews was thrown on makeshift gallows during Melbourne's pandemic laws protest.

"I look forward to the day I get to see you dance on the end of a rope," one protester said.

Northern Territory Senator Malarndirri McCarthy slammed threats of violence from some protesters in Melbourne, as crowds prepare for another day calling for an end to proposed pandemic legislation.
