fbi-reopens-investigation-into-clinton-email-use.htmlFox News:

The FBI has reopened its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server while secretary of state after discovering new emails, in a stunning turn of events just days before the presidential election.

FBI Director James Comey wrote in a letter to top members of Congress Friday that the bureau has “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”

Comey did not detail those emails, saying only that they surfaced “in connection with an unrelated case.”

He told lawmakers the investigative team briefed him on the information a day earlier, “and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.”Scissors-32x32.png

Recent Anthony Weiner Scandal Led to New Clinton FBI Review
Pete Williams, Kasie Hunt and Corky Siemaszko
Oct 28 2016, 3:54 pm ET

The FBI revealed Friday it was reviewing a new batch of emails that "appear to be pertinent" to its previous investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private server — and sources said they came from electronic devices of her trusted aide Huma Abedin and her scandal-scarred husband Anthony Wiener.

Those devices were seized in September by the feds two months after FBI Director James Comey announced that they found no evidence to warrant charging Clinton with a crime for using the server while she was secretary of state, the sources said.

In his letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee announcing the discovery of the emails, Comey made no mention of Abedin or Wiener, a former New York City congressman who resigned in disgrace in a sexting scandal and who is now separated from his wife.

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation," Comey wrote. "I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

3 competing theories on why the FBI re-opened the Hillary email server investigation

By Thomas Lifson

There is no question that re-opening the FBI Investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server is a big deal. The FBI normally avoids acting just before an election in order to avoid charges of political manipulation. NBC reports:

The FBI is reviewing a new batch of Hillary Clinton emails, bureau director James Comey said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday.

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation … I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation," he wrote.

The very first thing to note is that Comey made no mention of a grand jury. The emails whose existence he learned of may have been the result of a subpoena in another investigation. If that is the case, further subpoenas are quite possible, a tool that was left unused in the investigation to date.

There are 3 competing theories as to why he might be doing this now that come to mind.

So now it appears these are emails between Hillary and Huma. Remember they only turned over "work" related emails defined as having .gov in the address. So any emails (about yoga and such) were not included in the release and were deleted. Any emails Hillary sent between her and her staff were on a hillary.com address.

Clinton’s State Department: A RICO Enterprise

She appears to have used her official powers to do favors for major Clinton Foundation donors.

Felony mishandling of classified information, including our nation’s most closely guarded intelligence secrets; the misappropriation and destruction of tens of thousands of government records — these are serious criminal offenses. To this point, the Justice Department and FBI have found creative ways not to charge Hillary Clinton for them. Whether this will remain the case has yet to be seen. As we go to press, the stunning news has broken that the FBI’s investigation is being reopened. It appears, based on early reports, that in the course of examining communications devices in a separate “sexting” investigation of disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner, the bureau stumbled on relevant e-mails — no doubt connected to Huma Abedin, Mr. Weiner’s wife and, more significantly, Mrs. Clinton’s closest confidant. According to the New York Times, the FBI has seized at least one electronic device belonging to Ms. Abedin as well. New e-mails, never before reviewed by the FBI, have been recovered.

The news is still emerging, and there will be many questions — particularly if it turns out that the bureau failed to obtain Ms. Abedin’s communications devices earlier in the investigation, a seemingly obvious step. As we await answers, we can only observe that, whatever the FBI has found, it was significant enough for director James Comey to sense the need to notify Congress, despite knowing what a bombshell this would be just days before the presidential election. America Is at Its Most Perilous Crossroads Since World War II

To say that the USA is at its most dangerous crossroads since World War II might sound overheated, if it were not so obviously true.

Our country is about to (or was about to—we'll see) elect a woman president who, to a great many of us, possibly a majority, is indisputably a criminal and about to draw our federal government into nonstop litigation, more than likely leading to an impeachment trial at the least, weakening our already weakened state, blotting almost everything out and dominating all our attention and the airwaves for the next several years.

We didn't really need this latest round of email allegations emerging from the disgusting marriage and lifestyles of Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, what the NY Post calls a "Stroking Gun," to tell us that, but they have added a fillip, a certain je ne sais quoi to the political party formally known as "Democratic."

All this is happening with the Middle East falling apart, radical Islam spreading across all the continents save Antarctica (maybe even there), Russia and China expanding their influence, North Korea and Iran building their militaries and weaponry with impunity and the global economy in tatters (and that's not counting relatively local issues like the disintegration of Obamacare and the execrable condition of our inner cities).Scissors-32x32.png

FBI Source: Reopened Clinton Email Investigation Linked to Anthony Weiner

The FBI reopened its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private server after new emails were discovered during the FBI's probe of Anthony Weiner’s sexting, federal law enforcement officials said Friday. The new Clinton emails that were obtained through the Weiner sexting probe may have classified information, according to an FBI source. The converging of the two toxic scandals -- EmailGate and WeinerGate -- can only be described as a nightmare scenario for the Clinton campaign just eleven days before the election.

This morning, FBI Director James Comey informed top members of Congress in a letter that the bureau has “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”Scissors-32x32.png

'Let Me Be Clear': GOP Chairman Tells Comey to Review New Emails Before Election Day

WASHINGTON -- One of the eight GOP committee chairmen notified by FBI Director James Comey about new emails pertaining to the investigation of Hillary Clinton's private server urged the bureau to finish its review before Election Day.

Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), who leads the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies, responded to Comey's notification to Congress that he green-lighted "appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

Comey stressed that "the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete this additional work."Scissors-32x32.png

Has the FBI saved Trump?

FBI Director James Comey's announcement Friday that the bureau had reopened its investigation of the classified information in Hillary Clinton's emails could scramble the already-tightening battle for control of the White House and Senate.

"Two Fridays before Election Day leaves a lot of time for people still deciding and for voters to change their minds from what they may have been intending," said Mark Serrano, a GOP strategist who has worked on presidential campaigns since 1987. "There is plenty of time, because there was already a shift underway, and so I think that shift will likely pick up speed."

Indeed, a Washington Post/ABC News tracking poll released Friday morning suggested the gap between Clinton and Donald Trump had narrowed to just 4 points before Comey revealed the renewed probe into Clinton's emails in a letter to lawmakers published later that afternoon.Scissors-32x32.png

Ryan renews calls to block Clinton's classified briefings

House Speaker Paul Ryan called on the director of national intelligence to stop providing Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with classified briefings now that the FBI has relaunched a probe of her private email server.

Ryan, R-Wis., said in a statement on Friday the decision by FBI Director James Comey to relaunch the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server and handling of classified information is "long overdue," and "the result of her reckless use of a private email server, and her refusal to be forthcoming with federal investigators."Scissors-32x32.png

What did Huma tell Hillary? Hillary isn’t saying

Paul Mirengoff

October 28, 2016

This evening in Iowa, Hillary Clinton made a brief statement to the press about the FBI’s decision to reopen its criminal investigation into her email scandal. She even deigned to take three questions.

The best question, as is almost always the case, was a simple factual one: Have you spoken to Huma Abedin about this development? Clinton did not answer. Instead, she said she doesn’t know any more than anyone else about the matter.

Like virtually every utterance Clinton makes, this statement is false. Abedin reportedly is traveling with Clinton. Regardless of whether she is, there can be no doubt that as soon as Team Clinton got the news about the investigation (apparently, they learned about it only upon landing in Iowa) — and certainly before speaking to the press — she asked her closest aide what might be of interest to the FBI on her device and those of her husband. These, after all, are the devices the discovery of which reportedly has prompted the reopening of the investigation that has rocked the Clinton campaign.

From Abedin, Clinton must have learned more than the rest of us know about what has piqued the FBI’s interest. Her claim to be totally in the dark surely is a lie.
