Christians: The Victims That Must Never Be Named

Despite the predominance of identity politics -- where the skin and/or non-Western religious identity of any victim is constantly highlighted -- the identity of that one group most persecuted around the world -- Christians -- is always dissembled over whenever they are slaughtered (which is daily, globally speaking).

Of course, for those whose common sense is still intact, the motive is as clear as day; no manifesto required. As (the now “canceled”) Tucker Carlson had put it:

[The] victims were murdered because they were Christians. It’s that simple. Transgenderists hate Christians above all not because Christians are a physical threat -- the third graders [killed] were not a physical threat -- but because Christians refuse to join every other liar in our society and proclaim that transgenderists are gods with the power to change nature itself. Christians are not allowed to say that, they have their own God. And for that refusal, that unwillingness to bow down and worship a false idol, in this case of transgenderism, they were murdered.

One small quibble. It is not just Transgenderists that hate Christians , Its The Left. A problem (Disappointment) I have is there are denominations/pastors/"churches that have aligned themselves with The Left. They are either no where near as smart as they think they are or  (as I suspect) they want to sit with the Cool Kids. Being a follower of Jesus has never been Cool....Just True.

All I  can say is...

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Matt 17:21-23

Erdoğan's daughter boasts: Islam will 'break the Western cross'

Resorting to jihadist rhetoric, Esra, the daughter of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, recently attacked the West and Christianity.

In a tweet written, not in her native Turkish, but in Islam's tongue, Arabic, she declared that "There is little left for the Islamic crescent to break the Western cross."

This phrase is as universally understood by Muslims as it is universally misunderstood by Westerners and is, therefore, emblematic of Muslim continuity and Western confusion.

It has both a literal and figurative meaning.

Concerning the former, Muslims have been, quite literally, "breaking the cross" in keeping with their prophet's commandment.  Past and present, Muslims have destroyed and continue to destroy the crucifix — in cemeteries, on churches, on Christians — as a reflection of their animosity to the Gospel, specifically, that Christ was crucified, killed, and resurrected, three doctrines central to Christianity that Islam rejects.:snip:

Slaughter of Nigerian Christians Warrants International Attention

“If we keep quiet, we are going to go extinct,” says Catholic Bishop Chipa Wilfred Anagbe of the Diocese of Makurdi in Benue state, Nigeria.

In June, the Congressional Values Action Team caucus met with Anagbe and the Rev. Remigius Ihyula who shared their testimonies of atrocities committed against Christians in Nigeria by Islamic extremists and about the complacency of the Nigerian government.

The meeting rallied support behind House Resolution 82, introduced by Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., expressing the sense of Congress that the Biden administration officially redesignate Nigeria as a “country of particular concern for grossly violating religious freedoms and appoint a special envoy for Nigeria and the Lake Chad region.”

An estimated 5,621 Christians worldwide were killed for their faith last year. Of those, 90% were Nigerian, according to a January report by Open Doors International, a nonprofit group that advocates on behalf of persecuted Christians. The report says, “Militant groups such as Boko Haram, Islamic State West Africa Province, and other Fulani militants inflict murder, physical injury, abduction and sexual violence on their victims.”:snip:

Police in Pakistan have arrested 129 Muslims following attacks this week on Christian churches and homes. The attacks came following a report that one of the Christian men had desecrated a copy of the Quran. Soldiers were called in to stop the riot in the Christian colony. Residents were moved to a safer place. Outreach Director of Aid to the Church in Need, Ed Clancy, joins to let us know how all of this transpired and what the situation is like in Pakistan now. Clancy explains how serious a blasphemy conviction in Pakistan is and what the potential penalties are. He tells us how worried the Church is about further retribution from these mobs, as reports say the crowds were in the thousands. One of the striking points from reports is that the rioters burned the Bible and obviously these churches in the process. Clancy discusses whether blasphemy laws apply to anti-Christian actions as well. He fills us in on what the relationship is like between Christians and Muslims in Pakistan.

'We Christians are like animals': Pakistani seminary student shares firsthand account of extremist violence

:snip:

Images and video obtained by Fox News Digital show the ransacking of churches by an apparent Muslim-led mob in Jaranwala on Aug. 16, an action provoked by allegations that a Christian and his friend had blasphemed by ripping pages out of a Quran. Tumultuous crowds were filmed going into churches, tossing furniture out windows, smashing altars and setting fire to the buildings.

Many Christians were also forced to flee their homes to escape the attackers. When the riots quelled, and they returned to their dwellings, they found their property stolen and homes burned.

"I saw with tears in my eyes how the mob desecrated crosses on the roofs of the churches and in graveyards and ruined church buildings. They burnt so many Bibles and altars," said the Rev. Deacon Daud Irshad, 28.

Pakistan: Muslim Mobs Hunt Christians

Uzay Bulut
September 1, 2023

  • Hundreds of Christians fled their homes on August 16 when, in the eastern Pakistani district capital of Jaranwala, Muslim mobs started an anti-Christian riot, vandalizing churches and setting churches and Christians' homes on fire -- all based just on an accusation that a Quran had been desecrated.

  • At least 20 churches throughout the city were set on fire and more than 400 homes belonging to Christians damaged.

  • "Two Christian individuals are accused of desecrating the Quran. People are demanding life imprisonment, but the accusation is false. They have done nothing. The accusation was fabricated by an Islamist group, Tehreek-e-Labbaik." Faraz Pervaiz, a Christian Pakistani asylum-seeker who fled to Thailand after being accused in Pakistan of blasphemy for criticizing political Islam, reporting through his sources on the ground, August 2023.

  • "On August 16, 2023 a woman carrying these documents with torn pages of Quran knocked the door of Raja and Rocky, later be accused of blasphemy. When they opened the door, the woman started shouting at the family and accusing them that you have desecrated the Quran. The family was shocked. Meanwhile this woman started making loud noises to wake the people up. 'Raja and Rocky has committed blasphemy,' she was shouting, 'and you Muslims are sleeping!'" Faraz Pervaiz, August 2023.

  • The Muslim mobs then started attacking Christian homes and churches; the Christians fled and slept outside to avoid being burned alive, Pervaiz said.

  • "Christians are sleeping under open sky now. They are helpless. They get no support from any organization or the Government. They get no food support, and no new shelter is provided. They are starving. They are too scared to go back to their homes. They fear being killed... The police were helping the perpetrators and the vigilantes. There was no military intervention to stop the attacks. ...The newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan has condemned the incidents, but Christians need help, which he could have provided. But he did not because he knew that entire Muslim community would stand against him." Faraz Pervaiz, August 2023.

  • To urge Muslims to hunt down Pervaiz, mullahs in Pakistan have led demonstrations where the crowds were encouraged to chant: "There is only one punishment for insulting the Prophet. Sever the head from the body! Sever the head from the body!"

  • In 2019, Pervaiz's home address in Bangkok, Thailand, was revealed in a video released on social media, with calls to every Muslim to find and kill him and his family. Several mullahs also attached fatwas to the video calling on Muslims to kill him. Posters with his photograph were plastered across many cities, including outside mosques and government offices in Lahore and Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.

  • Meanwhile, Pakistani Islamists have placed a bounty on Pervaiz. The Tahreek-e-Labbaik political party announced the first bounty of $62,000 in 2015. The next year, a cleric doubled it to $124,000. Pervaiz told Gatestone that many Islamist parties in Pakistan have placed a bounty on him; the amount now totals $400,000.

  • The UN and other members of the international community seriously need to reconsider their relations with the government of Pakistan. It is a systematic violator of human rights and a major supporter of Islamist terrorism. A government that treats its minorities so unjustly and inhumanely needs to be held to account.

Thousands of Armenian Christians Flee Homes: ‘Mass Exodus Has Begun,’ Expert Says

Thousands of Armenian Christians have fled their ancestral homeland in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh over the weekend, and more are expected, the government of Armenia confirmed Monday.

“The mass exodus has begun,” Siobhan Nash-Marshall, a U.S.-based human rights advocate who has been speaking to witnesses on the ground, told CNA.

Nash-Marshall founded the Christians in Need Foundation (CINF) in 2011 to help Armenian Christians in the region, and in 2020 she started a school for children and adults in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Now, Nash-Marshall has received word from her school in Nagorno-Karabakh that “all is over” and that “people from all regions, all villages, are homeless” and without shelter, food and water.

Hundreds of ethnic Armenians are sleeping in the streets and cannot even drink water because they claim it has been “poisoned by Azeris,” according to Nash-Marshall’s contacts.

Nash-Marshall was told that there are lines of “2,000 in front of the only bakery” near her school and that “all are hungry, frightened and hopeless.”

According to the government of Armenia, 6,650 “forcibly displaced persons” entered Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh since last week.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Sunday that he expects most of the 120,000 ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh to flee the region due to “the danger of ethnic cleansing,” Middle Eastern news source Al Jazeera reported.

Hamas terror organization charter targets Christians and US service organizations

You may be surprised, but Hamas does not call for only killing Jews and eliminating Israel.

If you are Christian, a member of another religion or even participate in your local Rotary club or the Lions, Hamas also considers you an enemy, too.

"Hamas is using Gaza as an umbrella to be legitimate," says author and Middle East expert Walid Phares. "The reality is this is a jihadist movement, and it is manifesting itself in America and Canada, and in Western Europe. We have never been at this level of danger for our democratic world."

The Hamas charter seeks to expand Islam to become the controlling religion across the globe, targeting any non-believer, which includes "Main Street" America.

The terrorist group's guiding philosophy is detailed in "The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement," which was adopted on Aug. 18, 1988.

It says that the duty of every Muslim is "Jihad," that "there is no solution to the Palestinian question except through Jihad," and says "the Jews will not be pleased with thee, neither the Christians," until they follow the ways of Hama:snip:

'If We Like, We Will Kill You, Too': The Persecution of Christians, November 2023

  • A few November headlines from the ongoing jihadist-genocide of Christians in Nigeria follow...
  • Coptic Christians suffer the double injustice of living under systematic discrimination by the Egyptian government, and also from regular members of Egyptian society who attack Copts and their property with impunity. The reality for Copts in Egypt is one of life as second-class citizens.
  • "Most of the native population converted to Islam over six centuries to escape the jizya [protection tax] and humiliations of dhimmi status. The term 'Copt' came to define the native Christian population that had not converted to Islam..." — Coptic Solidarity, a human rights organization, in a report titled, "Advocacy of Hatred Based on Religion or Belief."
  • The following are among the abuses and murders inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of November 2023.

    The Muslim Slaughter of Christians

Pakistan: A Muslim man murdered a young Christian because he was "driven by a strong hatred for Christians and Jews." On Nov. 9, around 3 a.m., Muhammad Zubair broke into a Christian household while everyone was asleep. After opening fire on Farhan Qamar, 20, the youngest of four siblings, the intruder held the entire family hostage at gunpoint for nearly 40 minutes, preventing them from going near the fatally injured youth. According to the slain man's father, Ul Qamar:

"My son was struggling for his life, bleeding profusely from the bullet wounds, but his murderer, Muhammad Zubair, did not allow us to even give him some water, let alone comfort him. He repeatedly called us 'Jews' as he cursed and waved his weapon at us. We all watched helplessly, pleading with him to leave, but he wouldn't go.... [Finally, before Muhammad left the murder scene, he] pointed the gun towards my wife and ordered her to unlock the main gate. He sat on his motorcycle that was parked outside, fired three shots in the air with his pistol, and shouted, 'Allahu Akbar ['Allah is greatest'] two-three times before speeding away.":snip:

Money Quote

"Once the harrowing half-hour episode concluded, and the ruthless murderer fled the scene, the grieving family called 1122 for medical assistance, but their efforts were in vain. The deceased’s body was transported to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pasrur.

The Saddar Police Pasrur inexplicably delayed the filing of the FIR. Despite the murder occurring at 3:00 am, the police registered the FIR at 3:40 pm, an illogical delay that defies understanding. However, an FIR 950/23 on charges of 302 against culprit Muhammad Zubair has been filed. The Saddar Police apprehended the remorseless murderer from his bed while he was resting at his residence. In police custody, Zubair callously vowed to kill other Christians after his release from prison.

*BACA’s team visited the family at their residence in Talvandi Anayat Khan, offering consolation to the grieving mother. The team also visited THQ Hospital Pasrur, meeting with Pastor Zia ul Qamar, Farhan’s paternal uncle. Pastor Zia informed them that doctors had not yet conducted the post-mortem because the police had not registered the FIR."

:(  I know I'm not supposed to..but.

Armenian Christian Bishops, Priests, Deacons Attacked in Jerusalem by Dozens of Masked Muslims

Armenian Christians in Jerusalem were violently attacked by more than 30 masked Arab Muslims in Jerusalem on Thursday.

“Armenian clerics in Jerusalem are fighting for their lives,” the Armenian Patriarchate told the Jerusalem Post.

Several of the Armenian priests were “seriously injured.”

According to the Jerusalem Post, the ambush attack was in response to a lawsuit to cancel an agreement related to a land lease of the Armenian Quarter.

“The Armenian Patriarchate filed a lawsuit to cancel an agreement it made over two years ago to lease a fourth of the Armenian Quarter to Australian Jewish developer Danny Rothman (Rubinstein) and his Christian Arab partner George Warwar (Hadad) for 98 years. Once local and international Armenians understood what had happened, they began protesting, including holding a weekly vigil, to pressure the Patriarchate to cancel the deal.” the Jerusalem Post reported.

The Armenian Patriarchate told The Post that the developers used violence to intimidate the clerics.

“Instead of going through a legal process, they brought criminals and attacked our community,” Bishop Koryoun Baghdasaryan told the Jerusalem Post.:snip:

A Christmas Muslim Genocide in Nigeria

4,500 Christians killed in 2023. 52,000 in over a decade.

Muslims celebrated Christmas in Nigeria by massacring around 100 Christians across a dozen communities. The Jihadis hacked Christians to death with machetes and burned down churches  as part of a genocidal campaign that has killed 52,000 Christians in over a decade and forced millions to leave their home and become refugees in the African nation.

In America, not a single person marched, rallied or protested over this actual genocide.

The rampaging mobs crying that Hamas is suffering genocide remained silent. Black Lives Matter had nothing to say about it and neither did any of the politicians and social media influencers who spend all of their time pushing fake casualty numbers out of Gaza.:snip:

Why Does No One Protest The Ongoing Slaughter Of Christians By Muslims In Nigeria?

What is it about Israel that inspires that special intense hatred and anger among the cadres of the left?  “Anti-semitism” is a description of the phenomenon, and an appropriate one, but tells us nothing about the causes, and particularly does not explain why among all the conflicts in the world this one dispute should be the focus of all the left’s energy.

Yesterday it was more of same here in New York City.  The New York Post reports this morning on well-organized protests yesterday that blocked various bridges and a tunnel that cross the rivers into Lower Manhattan.  The headline is “Anti-Israel protesters create commuter chaos at three NYC bridges, Holland Tunnel — over 330 taken into custody.”  Fortunately, I don’t have to navigate any of these crossings on a regular basis; but for those who do, it was a nightmare.  Some of the protesters are Muslims of Middle Eastern origin, but most are not; they’re just run-of-the-mill everyday local leftists for whom being anti-Israel and anti-Jew has become the cause du jour.  The Post has a list of some of the organizations behind the latest protests, which include “the Democratic Socialists of America, Jewish Voice for Peace and the Palestinian Youth Movement.”  And of course, actress Susan Sarandon had to get into the act.  From the Post:  Susan Sarandon . . . said at the protest, ‘There’s no place for genocide.’”

“Genocide”?  I’m still struggling to understand how the treatment of Palestinians by Israelis at all fits the definition of that word.  Meanwhile, there is no shortage in the world of behavior that does clearly fit the definition of the word genocide without any need to contort its meaning.  But for some reason you won’t find the Democratic Socialists of America or Susan Sarandon or any other leftist group uttering a peep about these real genocides.:snip:

Terrorist Attack Heightens Fears for the Future of Turkish Christians
February 2, 2024

Ambassador Callista L. Gingrich

On Jan. 28, two terrorists wearing black balaclavas attacked Santa Maria Catholic Church in Istanbul, Turkey.  The assailants entered the church as approximately 40 people were attending Mass. During the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the gunmen began firing.  Tragically,  Tuncer Cihan was killed. He was about to become a Christian, attended church regularly, and was described as “a good person.”

Thankfully, no one else was injured, as the terrorists fled due to one of the guns miraculously jamming.

(Snip)

According to the 2023 U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom Report, which recommended Turkey’s placement on the Special Watch List, “Alleged ISIS members reportedly planned to carry out attacks on Alevis and an Ankara cemevi, and after the reporting period, additional plots to attack churches and synagogues also came to light.”

One such thwarted terrorist plot occurred on Jan. 3, when 25 suspected members of the Islamic State were arrested in Turkey for allegedly plotting to attack churches and synagogues.

Further, Open Doors ranked Turkey as number 50 on its 2024 World Watch List and said, “Christians are viewed as a negative Western influence” and “the combination of rising religious nationalism and a growing emphasis on Islamic values by the government is intensifying the pressure on believers in Turkey.”

The terrorist attack last weekend harkens back to painful memories of the past for Turkish Christians, as John L. Allen Jr. pointed out on Crux’s “Last Week in the Church.”

2 reasons

1. Secularism/Materialism.  Its the default position in  the culture today. The Best you'll see is "I'm Spiritual"...whatever the hell that  means. "I'm Spiritual", the tofu of  thought. It means whatever some "thinks" it means. Which is another way of saying It Means Nothing.

2. (in regards to this story) it would require them to look into the nature/theology of Islam, & criticize The Intifada, an ask disturbing questions.

Over 8,000 Christians killed in Nigeria in 2023, watchdog estimates

Over 8,000 Christians were reportedly killed in Nigeria in 2023 amid a rise in attacks, abductions and killings in recent years, according to estimates included in a report released this week by a civil society organization.

The Anambra-based International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), an organization headed by Christian criminologist Emeka Umeagbalasi that has been very critical of the Nigerian government, reports that at least 8,222 Christians were killed across Nigeria from January 2023 to January 2024.

The organization relies on what it deems to be credible media reports, government accounts, reports from international rights groups and eyewitness accounts to compile statistical data.

Intersociety attributes the deaths to various extremist groups, including radicalized Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram and others, with a notable number of victims also resulting from actions by Nigerian security forces.:snip:

The shameful silence over Nigeria’s persecuted Christians

Nearly 10 years ago, 276 girls were kidnapped by Islamist terror group Boko Haram in Chibok, Nigeria. The girls were mostly Christians, a minority in the overwhelmingly Muslim north. Boko Haram targeted the girls both for their religion and for having the audacity to be young women seeking an education.

The kidnappings sparked the #BringBackOurGirls social-media campaign, which became a worldwide phenomenon. Unfortunately, nearly a decade later, it is clear that the campaign has been far from successful. Nearly a hundred of the Chibok girls remain in captivity. Kidnappings and sexual slavery are still widespread in Nigeria. And Islamist terror has spread both beyond the north and beyond infamous groups like Boko Haram and Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP). Marauding Islamists regularly terrorise the country, leaving many Nigerians to live in constant fear.:snip:

Nigeria, World’s Most Dangerous Place to Be Christian, Prepares for Easter

Nigeria’s police chief on Thursday ordered around-the-clock enhanced security at public venues across the country throughout the Easter weekend, fearing religious violence in a country where Christians are under almost constant attack.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun said through a spokesman that extra resources would be devoted to maintaining security at “worship centers, train stations, highways, motor parks, airports, waterways, recreation centers, banks, and other financial institutions, as well as other critical infrastructures and public spaces.”

“The IGP also assures all travelers who will be visiting their hometowns and other places within the country for the festivities of adequate security irrespective of the medium of such travels whether by road, air, waterways, or rail, as deployments have been increased and visibility patrols intensified in all areas including aerial patrol and surveillance,” Egbetokun’s office said.

“As we commemorate the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us come together in unity and vigilance to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all,” the statement said.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) said on Thursday it would deploy 35,000 personnel to protect both Easter crowds and “critical national assets and infrastructure,” including operatives from its anti-vandalism, special intelligence, special female, and special forces squads.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) pushed back against an informal curfew proposed for the Ifeland region to minimize the risk of violence during the Easter holiday. CAN said it had received assurances from Muslim and tribal leaders that the weekend would be peaceful.:snip:
