Sheriff Joe’s deputies captured 11 illegal aliens and three U.S. citizens smuggling them into the country during a traffic stop – the kind that the Obama Administration and ACLU want to stop him from performing so illegals can go free. Two of the three smugglers were armed with semi-automatic weapons and have extensive criminal records, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said. This brings Joe’s three-day total to 28 illegals and smugglers - ALL of whom were headed for states other than Arizona. The 11 Mexican nationals in the vehicle admitted to paying between $2,800 and $3,000 to be illegally smuggled into the U.S., sheriff’s investigators said. Their destinations were Georgia, New York, North Carolina, New Jersey and Florida. Someone keyed the word “Obama” into two cars and slashed seats in another outside a residence that had Mitt Romney campaign signs. CBS2 and KCAL9 reporter Rob Schmitt spoke to Ken Slown, owner of one of the keyed vehicles. Slown actually supports President Obama! He explained to Schmitt that he and his wife — both currently unemployed — are staying with her parents and it’s her parents who support Romney. snip He estimates the damage to both of his vehicles at about $3,400. In addition to both cars being keyed, his wife’s vehicle had her seats slashed, as well. Said Slown, “They pretty much cut the backs of all of the seats.” A neighbor, who also has a Romney/Ryan sign in their front yard, were also hit. “Obama” keyed in the hood and on the black gate of an SUV. New York nanny who allegedly killed 2 kids had money woes, deteriorating mental condition, report says The nanny who allegedly stabbed to death two New York children was suffering from mental, physical and financial problems in the months leading up to the killings, sources told the New York Post. Authorities say Yoselyn Ortega, 50, used a kitchen knife to kill 6-year-old Lucia "Lulu" Krim and her 2-year-old brother, Leo, inside their apartment building on Manhattan's Upper West Side on Thursday. The children's mother, Marina Krim, returned home at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday to find the children lying in the bathtub with multiple stab wounds. (CBS4)- The woman named “Democrat of The Year” this year by the Jefferson County Democratic Party has been convicted of felony theft by a Jefferson County jury for stealing from a developmentally disabled 71-year-old woman. “The jury did right,” said Cindy Maxwell, an advocate for the victim. On Thursday, a jury convicted 66-year-old Estelle Carson of felony identify theft and felony theft from an at risk adult for stealing checks from the woman and using them to pay her own cable, cell phone and internet bills. The victim is partially blind, developmentally disabled, has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair.
