WestVirginiaRebel
Santorum: Trying to inject social policy into the military is wrong. Would not throw out gay soldiers but would reinstitute old policy. Paul: Abortion is a state issue. How are you going to police the day after pill? Cain: Being on his timetable and not the government's timetable saved my life. Huntsman: We need affordable insurance and to organize medical records. Bachmann gets the vaccine question: Didn't make claims; only related what mother told her. Perry took contributions from drug company (ouch!) Perry: I erred on the side of life. clearvision
Perry almost hit a home run, but did not push it. When questioned about low insurance coverage in Texas, he briefly mentioned people still coming to Texas. BINGO. Something is right in Texas if people are coming versus going. WestVirginiaRebel
Perry: States should have waivers for Medicare. Says economic success is reason for low Medicare usage in Texas. Romney: My plan was different from Obamacare. Perry: Romney a flip-flopper. Romney: Nice try. Another book discussion. "I know what I stand for". Good response IMO. clearvision
Romney has sort of said he lives or dies by what is in his book. I would assume Perry's team will be following up on that.

WestVirginiaRebel
I have to say I think Romney did a good job holding his own. Huntsman: Tax reform package, repeal Dodd/Frank, hypes natural gas again. Cain: Fill the void of leadership. Bachmann: Obamacare is one of the reasons why employers aren't hiring. Perry: Lower tax rates and energy independence. Paul: People create jobs, not governments. Gingrich: Invokes the memory of Reagan. Johnson: My next door neighbor's two dogs have created more shovel-ready jobs.
