I suspect nothing will be said until 11:00 am Nov. 9 2024. Looking forward to the WAR at a certain large Conservative Forum. All this assumes Donald Trump runs for reelection. Dec. 12 2021 With Biden's future as President looking grim, Trump could have a real chance at the presidency in 2024. Should he be the future of the Republican party and the conservative movement? Geee
Donald Trump vs. Ron DeSantis Is Not the Distraction the GOP Needs Right Now It is easy to tell who scares the corporate media: Just watch who they obsess over. Right now, it is two people. Their ongoing obsession with President Donald Trump has never faded. They believe he is an effective foil in elections, even though running against Trump when he was not on the ballot failed dismally in the Virginia election. The other, of course, is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. When they are not trying to convince you he is “worse than Orange Hitler,” they are mischaracterizing his Covid response—or writing toothless, deliberately misleading hit pieces. If the NYT is putting this out, it's because they want to undermine their political opponents--in this case, both Trump and DeSantis as well as the GOP overall. We saw many stories like this during Trump's term, and obviously since, that aimed to make Trump look bad and make it look like others in the GOP were having trouble with him or also disliked him or so on--and the only reason readers here saw them is because Mr. Mirengoff insisted on taking them at face value and pondering the accusations seriously, generally by finding Trump in the wrong instead of finding fault with the media outlets for peddling such blatant silliness. These were and are non-stories, often based on trivial tweets no one else is talking about or on rumors from anonymous sources that the Times tries to spin into major "news." We should stop falling for these stories--they aren't honest news stories about Trump or DeSantis or the GOP. They're just narrative-builders and collusion efforts to help their political team and hinder the other. Taking these stories seriously (instead of picking them apart while laughing at the pathetic and petty nature of these efforts) lends these pieces and their authors credibility they don't deserve while also making those anti-Trump conservatives who fall for them look silly." ___________________________________________________________________
Geee
No, A Proposed Florida Law Doesn’t Make It Illegal To Make White People Feel ‘Discomfort.’ It’s A Hit Piece Against DeSantis. The Associated Press on Tuesday provided a wildly inaccurate description of a basic civil rights bill being pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), falsely insisting that it would “prohibit public schools and private businesses from making white people feel ‘discomfort’ when they teach students or train employees about discrimination in the nation’s past.” The bill mentions race but does not single out white people, and the relevant portion of the bill insists that subjecting people as a condition of their “employment, membership, certification, licensing, credentialing, or passing an examination, to training, instruction, or any other required activity” that members of any race, sex, or national origin are inherently racist, sexist of oppressive is wrong. The language is a shade more specific than typical civil rights protections. The bill does mention the word “discomfort” twice, but it is not specific to white people. One section says that “An individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race, color, sex, or national origin.” The second mention is the same but is a subsection relating to the legislature’s acknowledgement that “all individuals are equal before the law and have inalienable rights.”
