Was thinking the same thing when I read this - what a world we live in when you have to have armed fortification for a Christmas parade now. 😞

At some point people are going to say Enough! Thing is I can foresee bad things happening from this. A real honest to goodness Police State, The nation dividing, A Real Civil War. Not saying any of these Will happen, just saying I can see where they might.

"May you live in interesting times."

Interesting times indeed.

I'd like to point out that as far as I know this guy didn't have a gun but killed and injured more people than most gun incidents.

Waukesha parade attack: 7 children still recovering in hospital one week after deadly ambush

The city of Waukesha asked residents to light a blue light outside their homes and share a moment of silence at 4:39 p.m. CT on Sunday, exactly one week after the Christmas parade attack that left at least six people dead and dozens more injured.

Businesses and city council members gave out blue lights to residents, who were asked to keep them illuminated outside of their homes through the holidays.

Mayor Shawn Reilly, who led the moment of silence with other city officials, told Fox News "blue is the color of unity.":snip:

Waukesha Christmas parade mass murder coverage is low point in American journalism - Newt Gingrich

We are witnessing a disgraceful act of deliberate false reporting and misinformation by the national media to protect a political ideology

The willful avoidance of facts and deliberate obscuring of what happened in Waukesha, Wisconsin is a low point in American journalism nationally.

It is stunning how much the propaganda media distorted and misreported the massacre at the Christmas parade last week.

Here are the facts: The alleged killer, Darrell Brooks Jr., is an African American who was previously released from jail on an "inappropriately low bail" after reportedly running over the mother of his child with a car. He has openly talked about using a vehicle to kill people and posted anti-white racism on social media. On Nov. 21, he reportedly used his car to murder six people and maim more than 60 others (including children and senior citizens). :snip:

10 domestic abuse defendants charged with additional felonies after Milwaukee County prosecutor recommended bail of $1K or less

MILWAUKEE — The man accused of driving through the Waukesha parade got out of jail in Milwaukee County on a $1,000 bond. Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm went before a Milwaukee County committee Thursday to admit one of his prosecutors made a mistake.

Milwaukee County court records show the prosecutor in question has been assigned to 109 felony domestic abuse cases this year. In 45 of those cases, defendants had cash bonds set at $1,000 or less. TMJ4 News has uncovered that out of those 45 cases, ten defendants have been charged with additional felonies while they were out on bond and awaiting trial.

“There are explanations for what happened, there are no excuses,” D.A. Chisholm said.

D.A. Chisholm said human error led to the decision to set bail at $1,000 for Darrell Brooks Jr. Brooks posted that bond less than a week before prosecutors say he drove into the Waukesha Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring dozens of others.

D.A. Chisholm says the prosecutor in his office who asked for the $1,000 bail never saw Brooks’ public safety assessment that put him at high risk of re-offending.:snip:

Alternative Structure

December 8, 2021 by Sgt. Mom

I did note this story on Axios, which was discussed scathingly and at length on Ace of Spades; that the Lefty Progs have belatedly realized that, yes indeedy, us social and political conservatives are building our alternate establishments, in media, money-management, retail, and everywhere else. Welcome to the party, pal… It goes without saying that the Lefty Progs disapprove, most indignantly. I noted the split a little more than a year ago, in this post.

We’re already at the split. We read different books, watch different movies and television shows – those of us who still watch movies and television – follow different celebrities, earn a living in different ways, educate our children differently. We honor different things, different heroes and heroines, have wildly different aspirations and hopes for the future. We are already split.

In the year since, the split noted has already widened sufficiently to the point where the professional media mavens have noticed it. Conservatives are busily and relatively quietly building around, under, alongside the established and prog-dominated versions. The Progs are indignant over this, of course, blaming so-called conservative billionaires and their wicked wiles, dominating a herd of ignorant and easily led proles. Never mind that many such social media sites, institutions, and occupations became actively hostile to conservatives. Why shouldn’t we walk away, if our presence is discouraged, and build a more tolerant and welcoming establishment elsewhere? In my own circles of authors, a good few decided to publish and market their books themselves, when the largely New York based Literary Industrial Complex publishers began freezing out all but the most liberally conformist.
