The brothers have been charged for not complying with Alberta's public health orders and holding a gathering at their church earlier today.

According to CTV, Calgary Police arrested the Artur and Dawid Pawalowski after they violated a new court order "that applies to gatherings, including protests, demonstrations and rallies."

The order, reports CTV's Kathy Le, "imposes new restrictions on organizers of protests and demonstrations requiring compliance with public health orders including masking, physical distancing and attendance limits."

Whistle Stop Cafe owner ARRESTED

Chris Scott, the owner of the Whistle Stop Cafe in Mirror, Alberta, has been arrested.

In a video posted to The Whistle Stop Cafe's Facebook page, an RCMP officer can be seen leading Scott away to a nearby police vehicle. After a pat down, Scott is placed in the back of the vehicle.

Earlier this week, Scott set up what he called a “freedom park” outside of his restaurant, after Alberta Health Services had the premises locked shut. When Scott announced his plan to hold “Alberta's largest protest,” police received an emergency injunction that granted them the ability to arrest anyone supporting the rally, anywhere in Alberta.

Scott becomes the second high-profile arrest this weekend in Alberta, following the detainment of Calgary Street Church pastor Artur Pawlowski.

I had a chance to sit down and chat with Pastor Artur Pawlowski back in early April, a month before he was arrested on an Alberta highway for having the audacity to worship God in defiance of government restrictions. He told me all about the targeted harassment he’s faced at the hands of the authorities since this crisis began, and how much it reminds him of the life he experienced growing up under communist repression in Poland. He also shared a valuable lesson about surviving the wolves who now threaten Canadian freedom.
