The news comes days after co-founder John Weaver admitted sending sexually inappropriate messages to young men. Launched in 2019 by a cohort of establishment, so-called “Republicans” dedicated to “defeating President Trump and Trumpism at the ballot box,” the group has routinely funneled the millions it raises to its founders and advisors, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show. Co-founder Reed Gallen’s Summit Strategic Communications LLC raked in $6,160,664.99 in 2020, representing the highest-paid entity by The Lincoln Project. FEC RECORDS. Following Galen’s massive haul was fellow founder and advisor Ron Steslow and his “Tusk Digital” firm which received $4,014,913.24. Another Lincoln Project Founder, Mike Madrid, saw his “Grassroots Lab” firm receive $61,000. Similarly, Communications Advisor Ryan Wiggins’s Full Contact Strategies received $41,000, Senior Advisor Trygve Olson’s Viking Strategies received $49,003.81, and Senior Advisor Jeff Timmer’s Two Rivers Public Affairs firm received $50,000 from two separate transactions. ________ It was good work while they could get it...
