Valin
The Hill: Mallory Shelbourne 12/04/16 Former CIA director retired Gen. Michael Hayden said Sunday that the intelligence community holds a favorable view of President-elect Donald Trump's pick to lead the agency. “The word from the intel community was they thought that was a pretty good pick,” Hayden said during an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis, referring to Trump's pick of Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) to serve as CIA director. “I know the congressman’s got a well-armed reputation for being a partisan Republican, tea party roots, was really focused on Benghazi and that whole email server thing. But even when he was doing that, what I hear from the guys in the community, John, he did his homework,” Hayden said. Pompeo was among Trump's first announcements last month for the incoming administration. “He’s going forward, assuming he’s confirmed of course, he’s going forward with I think a lot of folks in the agency are going to be happy to see him," Hayden said.
