Kellyanne Conway savagely roasts Democrats for re-electing Nancy Pelosi as House minority leader

Kellyanne Conway, the woman who led President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign to victory and is now his senior adviser, savagely roasted Democrats on Twitter Wednesday for re-electing Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) as the Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives.

 

House Democrats voted 134-64 in a closed-door meeting to re-install Pelosi as their leader, the caucus announced earlier in the day. The 76-year-old congresswoman has served as the top House Democrat since 2003, including a stint as speaker of the House from 2007-11.

 

But Pelosi’s win didn’t come without contention, mainly from Ohio’s Tim Ryan. And it was the irony of Democrats re-electing an older leader — despite facing huge losses in three of the last four national elections — that Conway poked fun at on Twitter.

 

Replying to a tweet from a CNN reporter who noted Pelosi’s re-election, Conway wrote: “What a relief. I was worried they had learned from the elections & might be competitive and cohesive again.”
