Chaos reigns in the liberal/left alt universe following its defeat in the presidential elections with members turning on each other. While Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein is pushing forward with her online begging to fund her presidential recount campaign, encouraged by losing Democratic candidate Hillary R. Clinton, rank and file Green Party members are voicing their opposition.

Dr. Margaret Flowers, Green Party candidate for Senate from Maryland, released a letter on her campaign site complaining about the misuse of time and funds in the Green Party's name, suggesting their efforts be redirected to more important party causes. The letter was signed by over 200 Green Party members, candidates and party officials.Scissors-32x32.png

What Stein is getting from recount

She won just 1 percent of the vote in the state and finished a distant fourth.

Democrat Hillary Clinton, who won the national popular vote, finished a close second to Republican Donald Trump in the Badger State. But it wasn’t her party asking for the recount. It was Stein, who has repeatedly shown a willingness to step into the public limelight to battle with both major parties.

Stein hit the Clinton machine for piggy-backing on her recount efforts and for failing to take the threat of election hacking seriously.

Seen as largely an afterthought during the presidential race, Stein is receiving heavy news coverage from the media for her efforts. And by tapping into Democratic angst over Trump’s surprise victory over Clinton, she’s building a fundraising apparatus greater than she had before.

It’s highly unlikely that the recount will lead to any change in the election results, which is one reason that many Democrats have largely shrugged it off.

But Stein and her party still stand to gain. Scissors-32x32.png

Jill Stein Says Midwest Recounts for Communities ‘Shafted Through Electoral Racism’

By Madina Toure • 12/02/16 5:01pm

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein maintained today that her recount efforts in three states that swung narrowly for President-elect Donald Trump on Election Day are rooted in fighting “electoral racism,” despite opposition from her own running mate—who warned the audits could undermine the larger war against “two racist, capitalist/imperialist parties.”

After a successful crowdfunding campaign to raise the necessary money, Stein filed a petition for a review of votes cast in Wisconsin on November 28, and did the same three days later in Pennsylvania and in Michigan just two days ago. The Clinton campaign announced it would join the recount effort. Trump’s lawyers have filed petitions in all three states to block Stein’s recount efforts. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, a Republican, has also announced that he is filing a lawsuit to stop the recount.
