CNSNews.com) – President-elect Donald Trump said Monday that on his first day in office next January he will begin the process of withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a prospective trade deal which has been a centerpiece of the Obama administration’s “rebalance” to Asia, but which Trump while campaigning called “horrible.”

Trump said in an online video message on priorities for his first 100 days that he has asked his transition team “to develop a list of executive actions we can take on day one, to restore our laws and bring back our jobs. It’s about time.”

“On trade, I am going to issue our notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a potential disaster for our country,” he said. “Instead, we will negotiate fair, bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry back onto American shores.”Scissors-32x32.png

Bolton Hopes Trump Will ‘Abrogate’ Iran Nuclear Deal Soon After Taking Office

(CNSNews.com) – Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, one of several reported contenders to be secretary of state in the Trump administration, said Monday it is important for the next president to rescind the Iran nuclear deal soon after taking office.

Referring to an agreement which President-elect Donald Trump has described as one of the worst he has seen, Bolton told Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs it was “important for Donald Trump, once inaugurated, to move very quickly in the early days of his presidency to abrogate this deal.”

“We’ve got to send a clear political signal that it’s a strategic mistake,” he said.Scissors-32x32.png

President-elect Donald J. Trump offered an update to his transition team’s work earlier this evening, stressing that he will put America First with regards to future innovation and hopes that all formulation and production will occur in the United States. He’s asking his transition team to come up with a list of executive actions tat Trump can sign on day one to restore our laws and bring back American jobs. Here's an outline of what he wants to do immediately:

  1. Withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and focus on fair, bilateral trade agreements that return jobs to our shores.
  2. Kill the regulations curtailing American energy production, potentially creating millions of high paying jobs.Scissors-32x32.png
