Geee
Watchdog.org: MILWAUKEE – Down in the polls throughout the campaign, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, won a convincing reelection victory over Democratic challenger Russ Feingold Tuesday, helping Republicans maintain control of the Senate. After a bitter and expensive campaign, Johnson struck a conciliatory tone in his acceptance speech. “I wish Russ Feingold well in the next chapter of his life,” Johnson said of the former three-term U.S. senator he first defeated during the Republican Revolution of 2010. Johnson, who trailed Feingold by double digits at one point in the race, beat the Middleton Democrat by 5 percentage points. The senator said Wisconsinites and Americans must come together to “save this country.” He won a second term reiterating that it will be his last.
