Geee
The Hill: Rupert Murdoch's sons — James and Lachlan Murdoch — are playing a “pivotal role” in keeping Fox News star Megyn Kelly at the network, according to a report in Vanity Fair. The story says that the Murdoch brothers have an affinity for Kelly, who hosts the highly rated “Kelly File,” and believe that “she’s a big part of the future of this channel.” Kelly’s contract with Fox expires in July 2017. James Murdoch is the executive chairman and Lachlan Murdoch is the CEO of 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News. Kelly, 45, is seen as an important face for Fox. She frequently anchors big events for the network, from presidential debates to election night coverage. Kelly was a pivotal figure in the fall of former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, who left under a cloud of sexual harassment charges earlier this summer. While a number of network stars rushed to Ailes’s defense after he was sued for sexual harassment by former Fox personality Gretchen Carlson, Kelly did not release a statement of support. The Vanity Fair piece says Kelly, who spoke to lawyers investigating Aisles, was a “pivotal figure” in the Fox News chief’s ouster. _________________________ I read somewhere yesterday the Kelly had Juanita Broderick on her show and more or less called her a liar.
