Geee Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Washington Examiner: About 40 U.S. special operations troops are reportedly deploying soon to northern Syria to help Turkish troops in the fight against the Islamic State. The advisers will be inside Syria in the coming days, according to the Wall Street Journal report, and marks the first time that such forces will work with Turkish troops in Syria. In April, President Obama announced that up to 300 American special operators could be inside Syria, and officials told the paper that this new deployment will not increase that cap.
