MADISON, Wis. – A document released in a dump of sealed court records by British liberal publication the Guardian suggests prosecutors of Wisconsin’s infamous John Doe probe are behind the “leak.”

The Guardian headline Wednesday screamed, “Leaked documents reveal secretive influence of corporate cash on politics.” The story included 1,500 pages of “largely unseen material gathered” by prosecutors who led the politically driven John Doe investigation into 29 conservative groups and the campaign of Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

Wisconsin’s media joined the throng of mainstream players nationwide in driving the left’s narrative that Walker and conservative citizens were involved in a coordinated, criminal campaign finance scheme, just as they did two years ago during another document leak.

The only problem, as it was then, and as multiple courts have made clear: The targets of the unconstitutional John Doe investigation did not commit any crimes.
