“I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged,” Donald Trump told voters in Ohio and Sean Hannity on Fox News. And that hit a nerve.

 

“Dangerous,” “toxic,” came the recoil from the media.

 

Trump is threatening to “delegitimize” the election results of 2016.

 

Well, if that is what Trump is trying to do, he has no small point. For consider what 2016 promised and what it appears about to deliver.

 

This longest of election cycles has rightly been called the Year of the Outsider. It was a year that saw a mighty surge of economic populism and patriotism, a year when a 74-year-old Socialist senator set primaries ablaze with mammoth crowds that dwarfed those of Hillary Clinton.

 

It was the year that a non-politician, Donald Trump, swept Republican primaries in an historic turnout, with his nearest rival an ostracized maverick in his own Republican caucus, Senator Ted Cruz.

I often remind myself that I don’t live in a political bubble. That I can see things clearly from both sides of the the political aisle, that I’m NOT so blinded by being a conservative (albeit a moderate one) I can’t see the writing on the wall. I owe the GOP nothing. All the work I’ve done for the pro-life fight has been without help from Reince Priebus and the lackeys sitting up in their Washington DC offices talking a good talk, but never getting anything done. I’m sick to death of these illiterate “leaders” in the Republican party claiming they know how best to move America forward. And I’m tired of conservatives towing the line, or riding the fence all in the name of party unity. And I’m tired of hearing Religious Figures prop-up Donald Trump like a GOD no less. I’m sick of fakes and phonies only out for their own well being… so scared to say that Hillary Clinton would make a far better President than Donald Trump because they don’t want to hurt their own pocket books. I’m not a Hillary Clinton fan, but I’m smart enough, and wise enough to know that Trump is the last person we want calling the shots from the Oval office.http://theresurgent.com/the-strategy-of-stupid/
