Valin
Power Line: John Hinderaker August 4, 2016 The Religion of Peace has compiled a list of Islamic terrorist attacks during the month of July. As the site notes, the list is probably incomplete, but it is still remarkable. It itemizes 141 attacks in 22 countries, in which 1165 people were killed and 1803 injured. I might not call all of them acts of terrorism; for example, there are a few honor killings on the list. But they all represent Islamic violence of the most unacceptable sort, with nearly 3,000 victims. (Snip) (Snip) Most of the terrorist acts occurred in places like Iraq and Syria, where the Islamic State is rampant. Others were in Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, and so on. Relatively few were in Europe or India, and happily, in July, none in America. But wherever there are large numbers of Muslims, from Indonesia to Nigeria, terrorism and mass sectarian murder follow. There does seem to be some kind of connection. Hillary Clinton’s statement (or was it Barack Obama’s?) that Islamic terrorism has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam may be the dumbest political pronouncement of all time.
