Geee
Washington Examiner: A newly found drug tunnel along the California-Mexico border is the longest one ever, federal authorities said Wednesday. The tunnel, which runs from a flophouse in Tijuana to a home in a San Diego suburb, is about 2,600 feet — or roughly nine football fields long. According to Laura Duffy, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, the three-foot wide tunnel was equipped with lights, ventilation, a rail system and a motorized freight elevator that could carry up to 10 people. "We believe this to be the longest tunnel that we have discovered in this district to date," Duffy said of the Otay Mesa tunnel. It's the second "super-tunnel" to be discovered in recent weeks, Duffy said. In March, a 415-yard tunnel was found that connected a restaurant in Mexicali to a house in Calexico.
