43-senators-tell-court-obama-trying-change-law-extra-constitutional-assertionCNS News:

Forty-three U.S. senators presented a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court today arguing that President Barack Obama is seeking to “implement his policy preferences” in dealing with certain classes of illegal aliens “by the extra-constitutional assertion of a unilateral executive power.”

“With millions of illegal aliens not permitted to remain in this country, work in this country, or receive government benefits pursuant to federal law, the Executive decided to provide such privileges to them anyway through administrative fiat,” says the brief.

The brief was filed in the case of United States v. Texas, which pits Texas and numerous other states against the Obama administration on the legality and constitutionality of the administration’s policy called the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents. The brief was presented by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and 42 other senators.

Sweet @Geee! Is this an election year? Oh, that's why they got off their cans to do what they're supposed to be doing. Well...good luck...esteemed fighters for the Constitutional Republic. Only 7 years late...but...who's counting.

@SrWoodchuck @righteousmomma Well, My Senator was NOT asleep, and in payment for that - he will be fighting for his life this election. I hope he makes it, but the REAL establishment money is pouring tin to this state to beat him. It didn't work against Walker, I hope it doesn't work against him.

Sweet @Geee! I voted for Ryan in the 2012 Romney/Ryan ticket. He has always appeared to be honest & hardworking. My feeling is, you either change the job...or it changes you. It is a war for re-election...and the sides are blurred to opaque. You either follow the dictates of your backer/money & the GOPe...or you are abandoned by them to fend for yourself at your next run for office. The model for higher office is...don't make waves...do what your leaders tell you. In that acceptance, you abandon your reason for holding office...which is...represent your constituency. Few in Congress want to risk their career in politics for rocking the boat. I have Colorado Congressmen & Senators that are the same...and have watched them adjust to the DC credo. So, what's the answer? Many people favor the "devil you know." It still leaves the people that elected you with anger over seeing changes to the very fabric of their lives, in what was once the best country on earth. I know that I fear for my children & grandchildren being left with the majority of our representatives. People of integrity make a stand. They have uncrossable lines. That makes them targets for special interests like Soros...as well as pariahs from the elite RNC/DNC leadership. Every submission to these professionals & meddlers for profit...takes all of us further away from what our Constitutional Republic was meant to be...and moving back to that is further away as well. Paul Ryan was handed his job from John Boehner with the "fix" already in. He was told to follow the instruction on his cue cards as written. I can understand that. He is still in the 2nd most powerful position in government. I don't count the VP slot...because out of his vote in the Senate...no real power flows at VP. Simple Joe was brought in as the ace-up-the-sleeve against Obama's possible impeachment. As Speaker, Ryan has a chance every day, to effect change back to American values. Is he walking the tightrope to stay in office; or is he doing everything he can to reverse the harmful changes that have been made & are still being made? This is the People's House. It was established to have greater representation of the people & was given a potent tool...the Power of the Purse...to accomplish that end. It has never been needed more than now. You view Ryan from your point of reference, which is subjective. Others view him from a more objective viewpoint, if only because he represents a greater constituency now.

We are in a war that is truly life threatening...against Progressives that have no mercy & will not allow freedom of will...to create The Socialist Democracy of America...and end the Constitutional Republic. JMO

Well, part of re-election when you are a congressman is representing your district. Ryan has a pretty mixed constituency, with much of it being liberal. He gives many many town halls when he is home (and that is often, he is still from Wisconsin and NOT Washington) . He does not shy away from the liberal areas. He has gained respect in those areas because of it. He is very patient at explaining his positions and listening to the other persons opinion, with respect also. Character? The Dems have had people here for years trying to dig up some morsel of dirt they could use. Nothing. Character counts with me. The worst thing they could come up with is that he is going to kill senior by fixing S.S. Obamacare has hurt S.S. worse than anything he has proposed. His own party is doing the Dems work for them though.
