A unanimous Supreme Court ruled Monday that illegal immigrants and other non-citizens can be counted when states draw their legislative districts, shooting down a challenge by Texas residents who said their own voting power was being diluted.

The ruling does not grant non-citizens power to vote, but says the principle of “one person, one vote” doesn’t require localities to only count those who are actually eligible to vote.

Justice Ruth Baden Ginsburg, writing for the court, said even though only eligible voters are supposed to cast ballots, elected officials represent all people within their districts, and it is that act of representation, not the election itself, that the boundaries are drawn to.Scissors-32x32.png

Sweet @Geee!

"...even though only eligible voters are supposed to cast ballots..."

Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Why aren't we "mourning" her "passing?"

I can only think it's because the nastier you are...the longer God lets you live.

She's interprets legislates that Progressive Democrat dream...by drawing fantasy borders...and fantasy redistricting lines...so that Supreme Demoncrat candidates can realize their "ghost constituency" made of non-citizens that can be herded into needed districts...and make that dream of never relinquishing power...have a base in "reality."

Example of the power of preferred redistricting? Col. Allan West.

Does the definition of people at least require them to be alive?

Well, according to Hillary, alive is not even people (babies).
