Texas Sen. Ted Cruz

has a double-digit lead over GOP front-runner Donald Trump in Wisconsin, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Cruz leads with the backing of 40 percent of likely Republican voters, while Trump has 30 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich has 21 percent, the Marquette Law School poll showed.

This is a big gain for Cruz from the last Marquette poll which showed the Texas senator trailing Trump by 10 points. This most recent poll from the Wisconsin school was conducted March 24 to 28, during the Trump and Cruz spat regarding their wives.Scissors-32x32.png

This poll was also taken before Trump came to Wisconsin and made appearances insulting Gov. Walker. - not a good move for some seeking the Republican nomination here.

Poll suggests Donald Trump just stumbled into Scott Walker town

MADISON, Wis. – Donald Trump just walked into a political buzz saw in Wisconsin.

The latest Marquette Law School poll, released Wednesday, just six days before the Badger State votes in the presidential primary election, shows Texas Sen. Ted Cruz with a 10 percent lead over the billionaire “anti-establishment” Trump.

But what the numbers might underscore more than anything is most conservatives in Wisconsin like Gov. Scott Walker, and a sizable majority don’t care for Donald Trump.

“Walker has an 80 percent approval level among GOP primary likely voters, with just 17 percent disapproving. That is strong support within the party,” said Marquette Law School public policy professor Charles Franklin, who conducted the poll.

Trump’s Walker bashing on conservative talk radio and at rallies this week probably didn’t help his cause, although the poll was conducted March 24-28, before the candidates descended on Wisconsin full force in advance of the April 5 primary.Scissors-32x32.png

Why Wisconsin’s 'Never Trump' movement is different

As Sykes was trying repeatedly to get Donald Trump to declare wives “off limits,” the morning radio host was prepared for the GOP front-runner to bring up Sykes’ own ex-wife. In February, after the death of former Justice Antonin Scalia, Trump had mentioned two names of judges he might nominate to the Supreme Court. One was Diane Sykes, a judge on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the conservative radio host’s wife of nearly 20 years before their divorce in 1999 — not that Trump seemed to know that during the 17-minute phone interview he did with Charlie Sykes on Monday.

“He had no idea,” Sykes said Wednesday during a commercial break inside his WTMJ AM620 studio. “I think someone handed him a card with her name on it. He never made the connection.”

Trump's unfamiliarity with Sykes demonstrates that the GOP front-runner knows little about the lay of the political land here because if Wisconsin is where his wave finally breaks, it will be in no small part because of Charlie Sykes.Scissors-32x32.png

Heidi Cruz co-authored report calling for the merging of the USA and Mexico

http://conservative-headlines.com/2016/03/heidi-cruz-co-authored-report-calling-for-the-merging-of-the-usa-and-mexico/

.

Heidi Cruz, the wife of GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations [CFR] Task Force of the North American Community. She co-authored a report that reads like the script to a dystopian sci-fi/horror movie.

.

Cruz co-authored a horrifying report titled “Building a North American Community.” Click here to download the pdf file of the report straight from the CFR.

.

The report calls for ending US sovereignty and merging the US with Canada and Mexico. It calls for the “elimination of most controls” on the borders between US and Canada and the US and Mexico. All Mexicans, Americans, and Canadians could cross each other’s border at will. Anyone, from any other nation that enters Canada or Mexico, could also freely enter the United States.

.

The report calls for a Marxist style sharing of wealth and resources to even out the standard of living in Mexico, America, and Canada.
