Valin
Ricochet: Brian McMenomy February 18, 2016 Last night’s town hall on CNN was for the most part a refreshing change from the vitriol we’ve seen. Each candidate was alone on the stage with Anderson Cooper for about 40 to 50 minutes, taking questions from Cooper and from the audience. You had the obligatory “so-and-so said this about you” moments, usually from Cooper, but the overall tone was much more relaxed and substantive than I expected, and much more positive. Carson was far more at ease than on a debate stage, and you got another reminder of what a nice, genial guy he is. Really good answer on medicine and why a lot of doctors are getting out of it. Rubio was really good, both on policy and tone. He was directly asked by a gentleman who’s trying to decide between Trump and Rubio how he would bring the party together, and he gave a good answer about both unifying and growing Republican support. He (like Cruz) gave a thoughtful answer about the iPhone controversy, showing some techie chops. Cruz was also really quite good. Cooper teed him up with an opening question about the cease-and-desist letter Trump sent him yesterday. Cruz hit it out of the stadium. I imagine the Senator is praying Trump actually follows through with legal action; Trump will get his head handed to him. He mostly stayed on the high road and gave really good answers about both the law and religious liberty. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Love This Format!!
