Valin
Politico: Burgess Everett 02/12/16 GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Ted Cruz unleashed a blistering attack on Marco Rubio's record on Planned Parenthood in front of hundreds of conservative voters at the Faith and Family Presidential Forum on Friday, insisting that his Senate colleague did not stand with him last fall as he sought to strip funding for the women's health care organization in a spending bill. There is little daylight between Cruz and Rubio regarding their disdain for Planned Parenthood. But Cruz is seeking to cast Rubio as weak-kneed and unwilling to stand behind the Texas senator's 2015 strategy to defund the women's health organization. The Texas senator alleged Rubio did not want to use Congress's "constitutional authority to defund Planned Parenthood," a charge that overlooked Rubio's support for tying an attack on the group with government funding. (Snip) ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Andrew Bair @ProLifePolitics .@nrlc: Rubio voted to defund Planned Parenthood before Ted Cruz ever got to the US Senate (see roll call on H. Draggingtree
This Election Is Now About Abortion And LifeBy Steve Berman | February 14, 2016, 12:00am Ted Cruz got it right on the debate stage tonight. Today marked a red letter day on the calendar: Justice Antonin Scalia has gone to his reward, and the next president will determine the fate of our national scourge–abortion. Trump supporters are, in general, not evangelical. The time for taking sides has arrived. Either the election is about immigration, the economy, crime, foreign trade, all the things that cause loud voices and spittle to fly across the room when Trump is criticized–or it’s about life and a return to Godly values. Where the latter issues get traction, we must see voters rise up and reject Trump’s squishy values which give God the back seat to “winning.” http://theresurgent.com/this-election-is-now-about-abortion-and-life/
