Draggingtree
Ricochet: A President Trump Could Be Ripe for ImpeachmentMike H January 19, 2016 22 COMMENTS The gist of the pro-Trump movement is one of extreme anger and “sending a message.” Those involved like what he’s saying about immigration and his violation of other political taboos, and/or they want to show the Establishment™ that a large segment of their constituency is fed up and not going to take it anymore. Let’s imagine they succeed in getting Trump over the finish line. What kind of response from non-Trump supporters — both on the Left and the Right — should we expect to a Trump Presidency? One of his supporters’ favorite aspects of Trump’s candidacy is that he promises to do as much as possible by executive order. One assumes he won’t just undo Obama’s overreach, but will also attempt to give Democrats a taste of their own medicine. This is where a Trump presidency gets interesting.
