An earthquake in North Korea early Wednesday raised questions about whether the Communist nation conducted its fourth nuclear test.

South Korean officials detected an "artificial earthquake" near North Korea's main nuclear testing site on Wednesday, a strong indication that the nuclear-armed country had conducted its fourth atomic test.

The U.S Geological Survey measured the magnitude of the seismic activity at 5.1 on its website. It was centered about 12 miles from Sungjibaegam at a depth of 6.2 miles, according to the USGS.
