cruz-wont-shouldnt-attack-trumpRedState: Why Cruz Won’t And Shouldn’t Attack Trump

By: Dan Spencer (Diary) | December 12th, 2015 at 04:30 PM

One only has to look at the Frank Luntz focus-group conducted on December 9 to see that attacking Donald Trump is counterproductive and that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100% is right to not engage Trump with personal attacks or insults. During a Dec. 9, 2015 interview by Bill Hemmer on America’s Newsroom, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100% explained why he doesn’t engage in personal attacks and insults against the other presidential candidate. You can watch the exchange between Sen. Cruz and Hemmer at the 6:05 mark of this video.

Here’s the transcript of the exchange:

Trump attacks Ted Cruz for not supporting ethanol subsidies

By Ed Straker

Donald Trump attacked Ted Cruz for not supporting ethanol subsidies. He said in Iowa on Friday, "Oil companies give him a lot of money, so he's for oil."

The thing about oil and gas is, it doesn't require big subsidies, because it's the cheapest and most efficient form of fuel for cars. Ethanol, on the other hand, does require big government subsidies, because it is highly uneconomical. Ethanol is much more expensive than oil and gas and, gallon for gallon, produces much less energy than gasoline. That's why the government has to hand over billions in subsidies to big agri-businesses to keep it going. And that's also why the government has to force oil companies to blend ethanol in with their fuels. Because without government coercion, oil companies wouldn't do it, and the price of gasoline would be substantially lower than it is now. Scissors-32x32.png

On Friday, Trump spoke at a fundraiser in New York for the PA GOPe. Isn't he supposed to be against the establishment, or so his supporters claim.

http://www.politico.com/story/...

With doing the fundraiser for a state GOP committee, who is clearly a part of the establishment, and meeting with the RNC upper echelon on Wed. Trump has now joined with the GOPe to take Cruz down. Did anyone really believe that Trump wouldn't do anything imaginable to win the nom. He doesn't understand that the GOPe will never back him either. They would go with Hillary before they back Trump or Cruz. I thought this guy was supposed to be so smart. I'm just waiting for him to go full birther on Cruz.

As a Rubio supporter, I would support Cruz if he is the nominee.. As for Trump hell no.
