National security issues expose the danger of amateur candidates

2576875Washington Examiner:

National security has emerged as a central issue in the 2016 presidential election. That's probably bad news for the Republican Party's front-runners.

Ben Carson and Donald Trump have failed to exhibit a command of the issues and have made a series of gaffes on the campaign trail which expose their lack of knowledge and perhaps even call into question their fitness for office.

In the wake of last week's terror attacks in Paris, a top national security adviser to Carson told the New York Times that the retired pediatric neurosurgeon has struggled to learn the finer points of foreign affairs, and that ongoing tutorials over the last few months haven't helped much.

The adviser said that he had been involved in weekly conference calls with Carson in an effort to "make him smart" on foreign policy and national security issues but that Carson has not been able to process "one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East."Scissors-32x32.png

The Vox Populi Speaks
Jamie Saker ·

Let's not forget that Daesh was created by "expert" professional politicians like George W Bush and Hillary Clinton. Al Qaeda was created over generations of bungling and reckless incompetence shown by the elder Bush and Ms. Clinton's husband. And in case we've forgotten, the United States has the most ill qualified amateur occupying the Oval Office presently, thanks to one neoliberal machine's failed populist experiment.

It's precisely the worldview of the corrupt corporate-government "progressive" Beltway that has gotten us in this mess and more neoliberal politicians doing the bidding of the global elite will only drive further hatred and backlash around the world. We seem to have forgotten how our corrupt exploitation, war-mongering, and trade scheming (e.g.NAFTA) have caused these uprisings in the Global South. How shocked are we that Daesh and AQ are dominant in Libya and spreading. Mali is on fire. Syria and Iraq are ablaze thanks to Ms. Clinton's Qatari friends and their funding.

You can spare us the concern trolling on outside candidates running who aren't authorized and controlled by the Party.
