Trump Blames Bush For 9/11 Attacks

By: Loren Heal (Diary) | October 16th, 2015 at 03:25 PM

Donald Trump let his crazy mask slip just a bit too much on camera Friday, blaming former Republican President George W. Bush for the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Bloomberg Television anchor Stephanie Ruhle asked Trump how Americans could trust him to keep them safe, a key issue with many voters (quotes via Mail Online): Scissors-32x32.pngwallbash.gif

Jeb responds to Trump comments on George W. Bush and 9/11 attacks

Jeb Bush on Friday night defended brother and former President George W. Bush after fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump suggested that he shares blame for the 9/11 terror attacks.

Bush, a former Florida governor, called Trump’s criticism “pathetic.”

The front-running Trump made his comments earlier Friday while speaking on Bloomberg Television about how and why, if elected, he could best handle national emergencies.

“Blame him or don’t blame him, but (Bush) was president,” Trump said. “The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

Trump’s Attack On GWB Is Soft Trutherism

By: Jay Caruso | October 17th, 2015 at 10:07 PM

If we sat around, adding up all of the stupid things Donald Trump has said, we’d be here for hours and hours going over it and that would just be over what he said the previous month. Not content with his usual bombast, Trump decided to go full stupid and attack George W. Bush over 9/11, essentially assigning him blame merely because he was in office at the time of the attacks. In an interview with Bloomberg Television. Trump didn’t need much prompting to open his mouth and insert his foot: Scissors-32x32.png

The thing people (apparently) don't understand (and I could very well be wrong) is DT says these kind of things in order to get and keep his name in the media. This whole campaign is not about becoming President, its about

No, Mr. Trump — Removing Saddam Was Right
Saddam-nostalgia is devious and self-deluding.

Invading Iraq totally destabilized the Middle East and gave us the Islamic State (IS) — the latest in a long line of public figures to give voice to this combination of ignorance and amnesia is Donald Trump.

Speaking to Bret Baier on Fox News, the Republican presidential contender declared, “I think it was one of the worst decisions ever made. [George W. Bush] has totally destabilized the Middle East. Had Saddam Hussein still be in charge, you wouldn’t have the problems that you have right now.”

So with IS on the rampage due to that sin of omission, let’s not indulge in Saddam-nostalgia.

Matters would not be better if Saddam had stayed — and not merely for the average of 10,000 people he murdered annually and which slaughter would be continuing had he remained.

Nor was Saddam a secular strongman who would have smothered IS in embryo. Yes, he was an irreligious figure who sought to emulate Stalin — but he was also an Arab supremacist who wanted to put down the West and who made common cause with jihadists who shared his goal.

Their supremacist belligerence appealed to him — which is why he took the sacrilegious step of having a Quran written in his own blood.
