Draggingtree
American Thinker: October 15, 2015 Before all Hell Breaks LooseBy Mike Konrad The present "third intifada" is on. I stand horrified at the loss of all lives. Of the loss innocent Jewish life, but also ironically at the loss Arab youth inspired to fight for a lie. The Arab claim to the Southern Mosque -- I refuse to call it Al-Aqsa -- is totally baseless, as there was no mosque in Jerusalem for Mohammed to visit in his lifetime. The Bible gives positive commands for Jews to build a temple once they are in the land. After the Israeli takeover of Jerusalem in 1967, General Dayan allowed the Jordanian Waqf (Religious Authority) to control the Temple Area, as a show of magnanimity. However, this would not stand. The Arabs were still intent on fighting, while religious Jews were intent on rebuilding the temple, if only a step at a time. The status quo could not hold. That it held as long as it did is rather amazing.
Draggingtree
State Department Spox Lies About Israel and Temple Mount Status Quo, Lies to Walk Back His Comment by Patrick Poole October 14, 2015 - 8:36 pm The Obama administration has given America’s closest ally in the Middle East a fair number of cheap shots in recent days as Israel confronts a rapidly escalating terror situation. One of the things the administration can’t get straight is its accusations that Israel violated the status quo on the Temple Mount. Earlier today, State Department Spokesperson John Kirby falsely claimed that that the status quo had been violated, and tonight he substantially misrepresented his statement in an effort to walk back his comments. Sadly, Kirby is not the first to do so. Just the other day, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest called for a restoration of the status quo: http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2015/10/14/state-department-spox-lies-about-israel-and-temple-mount-status-quo-lies-to-walk-back-his-comment/
Draggingtree
THE ‘JERUSALEM AWAKENING’ What the carnage is really all about. October 19, 2015 Richard L. Cravatts The carnage in Jerusalem and other parts of Israel continued this week with an increased ferocity and barbarity, with stabbings, shooting, bombings, car ramming, rocket attacks, and other assaults on Israeli citizens claiming the lives of five Israelis and twenty-five Palestinians in the past two weeks alone. While the violence intensifies and seems to be spiraling out of control, not only touching Jerusalem but also the West Bank, Gaza, and other Israeli towns, officials are intent on identifying the inspiration for the latest escalation of jihad against Jews. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was quick to assign blame, not to the perpetrators of the deadly attacks—psychotic young men acting in the name of Allah to purge the land of Jews—but to the victims themselves, Israelis. Speaking at the Belfer Center at Harvard University, Kerry disingenuously observed in a question and answer session after his talk that, “There’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years and there’s an increase in the violence because there’s this frustration that’s growing.” http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/260478/jerusalem-awakening-richard-l-cravatts
