There’s no issue there. But I thought it would be helpful to consider the value of Good Friday from the perspective of a liturgical calendar minimalist—indeed, one who is already on the record against observing Lent. Many Christians who go to church most Sundays don’t observe the church calendar, perhaps thinking it is superstitious, or unbiblical (see No. 10). In the case of Good Friday, maybe they think they’re just too busy for an extra worship service, especially one that they believe adds no real value. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, 'They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.' So Peter went out with the other disciple, and they were going toward the tomb. Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb.
