So What Really Did Happen to Harry Reid?

so-what-really-did-happen-to-harry-reidPJ Media:

It’s pretty obvious from the photographs that somebody beat the bejesus out of the soon-to-be-former senator from Nevada. And yet the national media has uncritically swallowed the cover story that “exercise equipment” was to blame for the loss of sight in the former majority leader’s right eye. Baloney. As far as I can tell, the piece of equipment allegedly behind the beatdown of Sen. Pat Geary has not been identified, but I can tell you from experience if the senator was using, say, a Soloflex machine this would be impossible: the weight straps simply come apart without any snapping or ricochet. His story is, to put it mildly, bunk, as Power Line’s John Hinderaker notes:

Scott wrote here about Harry Reid’s announcement that he will not run for re-election, a decision which, Reid was quick to say, was not the result of his “elastic exercise band” accident. In January, I wrote OK, So What Really Happened to Harry Reid? I noted the injuries that Reid suffered on New Year’s Day, in Las Vegas: multiple broken bones around his right eye, damage to the right eye, severe facial bruising, broken ribs, and a concussion. Was all of this really the result of losing his balance because an elastic exercise band broke? That seems unlikely, to say the least.Scissors-32x32.png

Harry Reid says whistleblowers lobbing accusations at him are ‘a bunch of whiners’

An inspector general called them courageous, but Sen. Harry Reid said Friday that the government whistleblowers who accused him of using political pressure to try to win special treatment for a Las Vegas casino were “a bunch of whiners.”

Mr. Reid, a Nevada Democrat who announced he will retire at the end of this Congress after 30 years in the Senate, said it’s his job to press the federal government to speed up decisions on his constituents’ needs, and said that’s what he was doing when he made the appeal to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to act on the casino’s request to expedite processing of investors’ visas.

“If I had to do over again, I would do it again. If I did it over again, I’d probably be stronger than I was,” he told KNPR radio in an interview just after he announced his impending retirement.

Homeland Security Inspector General John Roth earlier this week released a report accusing then-USCIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas of showing favoritism toward investor visa applications backed by high-profile Democrats in three different cases, including the casino request about which Mr. Reid personally got involved.

WHY HARRY REID’S HOME EXERCISE ACCIDENT STORY DOES NOT ADD UP

A Breitbart News investigation of the home exercise accident story told by Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and “sources familiar with the incident” has uncovered facts which appear to discredit his version of events surrounding a New Year’s Day incident that left him with gruesome injuries to his eye, face and ribs.

On January 22, three weeks after the incident, Reid told reporters on Capitol Hill this version of how he obtained those injuries:

I know there are a lot of rumors as to what happened, but that’s very simple. My wife and I were in our new home. I was doing exercises that I’ve been doing for many years with those large rubber bands and, uh, one of them broke and spun me around and I crashed into these cabinets and injured my eye.

It didn’t knock me out but it sure hurt. And, uh, I was taken to the hospital, and, uhm, we came back here after a couple of days. I have some bones broken around my eye.

“Sources familiar with the incident said Reid was exercising in his bathroom, with the exercise band attached to the shower door,” Politico reported that same day.

Resistance bands, or “exercise bands” as “sources familiar with the incident” described them to Politico, or “rubber bands” as Reid referred to them, are inexpensive exercise devices that consist of a length of cord made of stretchable material, usually some form of rubber or latex, that sell for between $10 and $40.Scissors-32x32.png

Sweet @Geee!

Couple of thoughts on Dingy Harry:

1.) Some have speculated that, had a piece of exercise equipment broken & injured him....he would have begun major litigation against the manufacturer.

2.) While it would be somewhat pleasant to think that someone beat the heck out of him...it would probably have to be a "professional attitude adjustment specialist"....as Dingy was a boxer, and would be able to bob & weave if it was just his wife.

3.) I think the most probable explanation is that he had a brain incident (mini-stroke, loss of consciousness, etc. ) and fell. He sometimes looks as if he has dementia, as well....and may have looked at himself in a mirror.....and seen an a**hole he didn't recognize, that needed a good beating.

TROUBLED CAPITOL POLICE WITHHOLDING INFORMATION ABOUT HARRY REID’S INJURIES

The leadership of the troubled, 1,800 person Capitol Police force is withholding information about the circumstances surrounding Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) gruesome New Year’s Day injuries.

Breitbart News poked holes in Reid’s story that the injuries resulted from a home exercise accident that occurred when the exercise band that he attached to the shower door in his bathroom “broke and spun me around and I crashed into these cabinets and injured my eye,” as he claimed.

Breitbart News has also reported that virtually all of the information concerning the events surrounding the New Year’s Day injury and Reid’s subsequent hospital treatment that day has originated from Reid’s office. It insists the senator’s Capitol Police security detail was with him at his Henderson, Nevada home when the injuries occurred on New Year’s Day and transported him from his home to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson for treatment.Scissors-32x32.png
