Geee
Investors Business Daily: During the 2014 election cycle, billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer spent $74 million supporting candidates he believed would advance his radical political agenda. The hedge-fund-manager-turned-progressive-financier posted an abysmal electoral record: most of the candidates he spent heavily on lost, and those who won would have probably done so without his help. Apparently Steyer, who incidentally built part of his vast fortune by investing in coal, hasn't taken the hint, insisting he is going to remain an active player in electoral politics. In fact, he's scheduled to attend a meeting of top-dollar Democratic donors this weekend in Santa Fe, N.M. Despite widespread and persistent political failures, Steyer and his Super PAC, NextGen Climate Action PAC, may dump even more resources into the 2016 election cycle. If Steyer 2.0 is anything like the original, Americans should brace themselves for a wild ride.
