Minneapolis cop shot in ambush after responding to burglary call; suspect in custody

An inidentified suspect with a long criminal history has been arrested by Minneapolis police following the shooting of a cop who was ambushed during a burglary call, according to a local report.

 

The officer, identified by WCCO-TV as Jordan Davis, was rushed to the hospital by his partner and was in satisfactory condition with a bullet wound in his shoulder.

 

The two had just finished handling the burglary call about 5 a.m. when Davis was shot while standing outside their patrol car.
