Moaz al-Kasasbeh, the Jordanian pilot who was shot down and captured by ISIS, has been burned alive on video:

The footage, which is titled ‘Healing the Believers’ Chests’ appears to show the captured airman wearing an orange jumpsuit as a trail of petrol leading up to the cage is seen being set alight.

Flames are seen quickly spreading to the cage where they completely engulf the helpless pilot in images that are far too distressing to publish.

Jordan promptly announced that it would execute the six ISIS terrorists in its custody.

The Obama administration should begin recruiting allies and laying plans for an armed assault on the territory controlled by ISIS, with the objective of wiping the group off the face of the Earth, once and for all, in a manner that will deter imitation.

Jordan responds by announcing execution of jihadist prisoners
Ed Morrissey

February 3, 2015

As responses to terrorism go, this one communicates commitment. After ISIS released video of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kassasbe’s murder by immolation — which apparently happened weeks ago — the kingdom of Jordan has announced that all jihadist prisoners will be executed as soon as possible, beginning at dawn tomorrow with the woman ISIS wanted released:

In fact, King Abdullah II has cut short his visit to the US to get back home, presumably to be present for the executions. A group of US Senators expressed their condolences and solidarity with Abdullah at a meeting this morning just after the news broke:

Rishawi, the widow of a former associate to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, will be the first of a half-dozen terrorists to be executed immediately, the Daily Mail reports. The executions come after the recent restoration of the death penalty following a moratorium, but one suspects that even if the moratorium was still in place for civil jurisprudence, it would not have been a hurdle to this angry reaction from Jordan.

VENGEANCE AGAINST ISIS: Jordan Executes Terrorists, Including Female Wannabe Suicide Bomber al-Rishawi

By: Caleb Howe (Diary) | February 4th, 2015 at 06:30 AM

Good.

deceased-150x150.jpgIn the predawn hours Wednesday, Jordan executed two al Qaeda in Iraq-associated prisoners by hanging, in response to the brutal slaying of Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh yesterday. One of the two jihadis executed was would-be suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi, who is the woman that was going to be exchanged for al-Kaseasbeh.Scissors-32x32.png

Obama denied request from Jordan for Predator drones in Islamic State fight

Rowan Scarborough

Updated: 3:27 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015

The Obama administration earlier this year turned down a request from Jordan for Predator spy drones that would help it locate targets in the war against the Islamic State.

The refusal, disclosed by a House Armed Services Committee, member, is gaining importance today since Jordan has emerged as a critical player in a U.S.-led coalition to destroy the terror group.

On Tuesday, the Islamic State released a video of its execution by fire of a capture Jordanian pilot. Jordan retaliated on Thursdaywith F-16 air strikes on the Syrian town of Raqqa and is vowing a relentless war against the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS.

Members of Congress are calling on the White House to approve a list of new weapons for King Abdullah, a strong U.S. ally.

'Mosul Eye' Claims City 'Quietly Slipping Away' From IS

13 February

A "drastic social change" is taking place in the Islamic State (IS)-controlled Iraqi city of Mosul following the killing of captured Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasasbeh, with more and more religious residents expressing resentment and anger toward the militants, a local resident-turned-anonymous blogger has reported.

The account of life in Mosul was posted on the Mosul Eye Facebook page on February 13. Mosul Eye is the pseudonym of a local historian who has been secretly documenting IS's activities in Mosul since the militants overran the city in June. While it is not possible to verify the blogger's identity, Iraq watchers believe the accounts are credible.

According to Mosul Eye, IS's recent murder of Kasasbeh was "the main direct factor" -- though there have been others -- that led to the significant change in the attitude of religious Mosul residents toward the extremist Sunni group.
