Tere are number o reasons, in my opinion, why every lady who has the time, the means, and the opportunity should learn the use o firearms.Until recent years woman has been debarred to a great extent rom participating in many sports, pastimes, and recreations which in times pastwere looked upon as fit only or the opposite sex.Now, however, that her right to enjoy some o these healthy diversions, especially those o an out-o-door nature, are ully recognized, I believethat such diversions should be taken advantage o to the ullest extent.I do not wish to be understood to mean by this that woman should sacrifice home and amily duties merely or outside pleasure, but that, eelinghow true it is that health goes a great way toward making home lie happy, no opportunity should be lost by my sex o indulging in outdoor sports,pastimes, and recreations, which are at once healthy in their tone and results and womanly in their character.Under this category the use o firearms must come, or does not this practice, as a rule, bring one out into the open, where not only the resh airmay be breathed, but ofentimes the beauties o nature be also enjoyed.I only as a means o benefiting the health the use o firearms by woman is
