Valin
The Foundry: Leslie Grimard July 31, 2013 A recent report by the Guttmacher Institute reveals that more teens are choosing to delay sexual activity. The median age for first sexual intercourse is approaching 18 years of age for those born in 1991. The median age for those born in 1978 was 17 years of age. Now, less than 6 percent of all teens have had sex by their 15th birthday. This is a substantial drop from the 13 percent figure reported last year. The rise in the median age of first sexual activity mirrors the fact that half of all high school students are currently abstinent.
