Valin
Forbes: Mike Ozanian 4/5/13 What type of country has America become? (Snip) What troubles me is why Rice and Rutgers deserve more attention from the media than doctor Kermit Gosnell, who is on trial for eight counts of murder related to his abortion clinic in Philadelphia. Gosnell apparently made a fortune running a slaughterhouse. It went unnoticed for decades. How many clinics are being run like Gosnell’s in this country? Isn’t it worth a look into by the media and politicians? How much of this story have you seen on the evening news? I bet not nearly as much as you have seen about Rice. It is also disturbing that the media and our elected officials think the Rice story is more important than what went down at Columbia University, where former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin–who spent 22 years in prison for an armored-car robbery that killed two cops and a Brinks guard–has been hired as an adjunct professor at the School of Social Work. This woman is now charged with shaping the minds of young adults. Is she reformed? What standards apply at Columbia and other universities? And what message does this send throughout our country? Again, compared with Rice, the coverage and political outcry has been scant. (Snip)
